When an elected representative gets butchered in public, no matter what pole they tie their flag to. Then Democracy is in trouble. We elect these people as our voice. Disagreed entirely with her political outlook, yet totally admired her commitment to her principles and the wider community. Surely one of the darkest days in British politics as a supreme advocate for women in the profession has been slain.
