New high score for shootings in America. Atleast 50 dead, 53 more injured. Fuck man. Fuck 2016.

The deadliest mass shooting in American history

Your also forgetting about Wako.

What about wounded knee?

[–]BlackPrinceof_love 2ポイント3ポイント  (0子コメント)

doesn't count, plus isn't a mass shooting.

"High score" doesn't sit right. Too....positive.

As a Canadian I just don't understand why this happens. Like, what goal did they achieve doing this? The grimmie news wrecked me but is that whole place just batshit crazy?

I guess so. I don't know why radical Islam or Christian (what I assume was the motive behind the shooter) people have to do this shit. Like, mind your own fucking business and let other people live their own lives. Why is it any of your business? What a fucking waste.

The mass shooting was at a gay club so the shooter could have been a crazy homophobe.

Yeah, radicals are the worst scum on earth. It makes us religious people look like violent nutjobs. This would be okay if they didn't recruit more of these nutjobs and started shooting people.

America needs to get their shit together. They can't ignore this.

Okay, so what should we do about the Islamic extremist problem? Or are you still pretending Christians are anywhere near as dangerous.

Fascism.

Not Fascism, per se, which has very clear definitions, but what Umberto Eco referred to as ur-fascism, in effect, the spirit behind fascism adopting new forms as per the times.

I bet you were so sad that it was a radical Islamic extremist and not a Christian doing the killing. Fuck you, too.

Actually not. Why don't you go fuck yourself, goatfucker.

The goal is terror because the shooter was a Muslim extremist, much to your dismay.

Things like this make me want to say fuck religion.

This isn't just Orlando, it's the whole US.

It just saddens me to hear about. Then today I found out is was all over religion? As if I really needed more reasons to not align to a faith. Maybe you guys just to have armed guards at every public venue =p. Feels like it's getting to that point.

It's horrible because we know the root of the problem but our politicians will dance around the subject to no end. One shooting after another and people are still turning a blind eye and refusing to read the writing on the wall.

Maybe someone will shoot a politician and then things will change.

I guess America just loves murder too much. It's a very profitable business.

I don't think it was really about religion, I think the guy just really, really hated gay people. I heard that he was with his family in Miami or something and he saw two guys kissing and he said he didn't like it.

I heard it was an Muslim extremist. Which tend to be pretty intolerant of most people's life choices like that. And the other shooting happened because she was Christian apparently. It's all just really fucked up and depressing.

He pledged allegiance to some extremist groups during the attack, like ISIS and al-Qaeda.

No, don't be ignorant. A large population will result in a larger population of the small percentage of people that exist in every society that are crazy. All of those "Florida Man . . ." stories you hear happen in many other states as well, its just that Florida has laws which make police reports available as public documents.

That seems like a bad law, I always thought those kinds of things were kept private for a reason. Violence inspires violence and whatnot.

I guess it was just that a lot of terrible things happened in Orlando in a very short span.

50 right now dude. Sorry for the bad news.

It's Florida.

Florida is the America of America

I can't believe it. I know Florida is a conservative state, but seriously?

I'm betting that within 24 hours, the WBC will be picketing and Pat Robertson will be congratulating the shooter.

Fuck 2016.

Um Florida is a swing state not a conservative one...

Florida is only a swing state in presidential elections. As far as state politics go it runs conservative.

Pat Robertson already went on the 700 Club to say "let gays kill themselves" & Alex Jones said it was gay people's fault for the tragic shooting

Another person who was probably so sad the shooter didn't turn out to be a Christian. Fuck you.

Florida is the America of America

Gee, thanks, John Oliver.

Now up to 50 dead from the nightclub shooting - worst mass shooting in American history. :(

49 the shooter doesn't count.

So much for the current gun system, surveillance, and terrorist preventing in America. I see shit like this, and I'm baffled why America does NOT want to change. I see comments like "RIP" or "I will pray for her family" and shit like that, like it will do anything. But it fucking doesn't change anything. So fuck 2016. Fuck guns. Fuck america. Fuck people. Fuck you. Fuck off.

You will see comments like "Now is not the time for political point scoring."

"Hey, there's been a mass shooting. Maybe we should do someonething about all the guns?" "Now is not the time for political point scoring."
"Hey, there's just been another mass shooting, do you think that maybe now?" "Now is not the time for political point scoring."
"Umm, there's been another mass shooting, do you think..." "Now is not the time for political point scoring!"

"Hey, the war has come to us so let's disarm everyone." Fuck you.

As opposed to the suggestion that more guns is the way to avoid mass shootings?

Because after every mass shooting the number of guns has increased, and there are only more mass shootings. The suggestion from the right seems to be either 'do nothing' or 'do the one thing you tried every time so far, which failed every time'.

A lot of America doesn't want to change. I guarantee there's a major portion of the population that's glad fifty "homos" were shot dead. It's awful.

I bet you were so sad that the shooter wasn't a Christian. Go fuck yourself.

Yeah, cause banning guns certainly helped the french. Those terrorist fucks in Paris used a flyswatter to kill 139 people because we all know that strict gun laws means zero chance of shootings. And who gives a flying fuck about innocent people killed by homemade bombs because getting shot to death is somehow worse.

What happened in Paris required months of planning, arms smuggling, people smuggling, and logistics.

What happened in Orlando was a guy went to a store and bought a military grade weapon along with some ammunition. It might've taken 30 minutes out of his day.

It shouldn't take 30 minutes of effort for a bored schmuck with a credit card to acquire the means to easily murder 50 people.

You literally have no information about this. You're completely talking out of your ass. Also, he didn't use a "military grade weapon," you dumb fuck.

Also, he didn't use a "military grade weapon," you dumb fuck.

Depends on how you define "military grade weapon". The gun used was the SIG Sauer MCX, which Wikipedia defines as an "assault rifle" (distinct from the gun control classification of "assault weapon") and states that it was designed for the US special forces. Presumably, the gun used by the shooter differed from the military version in that it was incapable of automatic fire, but it was still a gun designed for use by the military.

The Sig Sauer MCX is not military grade. They use automatic and burst fire weapons. That one isn't.

I'm not looking to debate, but banning guns or anything won't stop gun violence. It's often easier to get a gun illegally than legally. Where there is a will, there is a way.

There is a lot of very ignorant statements and opinions being thrown around that really don't factor in all that was and is in play, especially those comments from people outside the U.S. saying we need to get our shit together. It's not that simple of a problem so please stop posting your fucking platitudinous solutions.

I live near the Orlando area. It could be Florida Man/Gator on bath salts :( but seriously, I am also wondering how Orlando could have attracted such bad vibes and horrible tragedies lately :(

Wow, this thread is filled with pieces of shit. Fuck this whole place.

Mix heat with lax gun control and this is what you get.

This is a retarded response to "Islamic Homophobe who obtained firearms through his employement as a security officer kills people with two perfectly legal and registered firearms that would never be in question with stricter gun laws."

He had a history of being under investigation for potential connections to Islamic terrorist groups (though he does not appear to have been directly involved with any specific group). Additionally, it doesn't seem that radical Islam is the only factor in the shooting, he seems to have had some degree of emotional instability as well. You'd think at least one of the two would show up on the screening process for a job that involves the use of weapons.
