I live in the Bay Area and recall that Prince was nearby but chose not to attend her funeral. It seems the negative stories about him add up

Probably her choice since he was the genesis of her downfall and she swore off anything to do with him and the life he led.

I think it was more respectful than anything.

All the stories I've been reading about Prince were positive. If this is true, that's pretty awful.
