Seems like a very grounded way to live. Good for you, I hope you've had a pleasant birthday.

Funny thing about plans, in the distant past when they didn't work out I used to get rather upset about it, but now after discovering Mgtow ideas, it's not so much anymore unless if it was something quite important. Someone cancels on something? Great, guess I get to spend the day doing as I please. Loneliness just isn't a concern anymore, which is rather liberating.

As far as disappointment goes, I've never really been one to be disappointed in people per say. I've always seen actions and results rather mechanically, like 'this was the inevitable result of such and such factors, being disappointed in it would be like being disappointed that simple kinetic physics continued to be predictable'.

Life's really only disappointing if you can't see most of the forces in motion within it and something hits you out of nowhere in a way you didn't expect. Even then, the 'no expectations' mentality could probably help with that too.

When something goes wrong for me nowadays, reaction to such tends to go in a 'oh well, it happened, time to figure out what best to do next' line of thinking.
