Tbh I don't think it's edited in a secretive way, the camera changes zoom and position quite dramatically in the before and after. There's also another transition at 0:18 in your vid.

There's so many reasons why they might've cut the footage, it might've contained foul language, violence, unnecessary footage, blurring and so on.

If they wanted highly vetted persons they'd do it within the agency, or just use their own current agents.

Is this a sub a place to discuss peoples thoughts? Or a place to ignore their thoughts and instead focus on who said them?

Personally, I focus on what people say, not who said them. For all you know, the worst person might have the greatest ideas.

Imagine if you will, you go to a sub, you see someone say something you find objectionable so you respond to them - Only to be met with "You're not welcome here".
