I agree that they are terrible people, but that has nothing to do with being a teenager, female, or cheerleading. I've seen people of all ages, genders, and types do shit just like this, so the stereotyping is really unnecessary. Not every young teen girl is an asshole, just probably 30%.

Thank you. I'm a teenage girl, and it's definitely really frustrating seeing so much hate towards us on reddit. I know I'm definitely not the best person, and I do stupid teenage things sometimes, but I try to be good.

But thank you for standing up for people (:

If you're occasionally doing stupid teenage things you're doing it right. At least as I see it. If you can't do stupid shit as a teenager, when can you?

Those girls were just assholes, and assholes are everywhere.

Have to comment here. Teens are stereotyped, no doubt, and its unethical. But the stereotype rests on a scientific basis.

Teenagers as show more narcissistic behavior/tendencies as a whole than do adults. Its part of normal personality/biological makeup to demonstrate a higher level of narcissism as a teen, so much that it a staple of psych curriculum

Which is not my point, I can agree with that. But it doesn't mean that all teenagers suck at their jobs. It also has nothing to do with being female or cheerleading. Male teenagers are the same or sometimes worse than females, when it comes to job performance.

I didn't see it that way, the writer was just being illustrative.

He or she even said "ditzy cheerleader type", which is really hard to be offended by. It literally has the word "ditzy" in it, are we supposed to feel bad for ditzes? In other words, the type does exist, and they were that type.
