This is something I never see discussed on /r/politics /r/the_donald or even /r/SandersForPresident for that matter.

The confidential emails at the center of the FBI investigation were to do with the drone program. This program was something that everyone knew about and these emails were highly time sensitive. Many times there wasn't enough time before the strike to use the system meant for confidential communication.

So when people say Hillary should have been indicted they are basically suggesting the State Department should have just let unnecessary drone strikes go ahead because they didn't have enough time to follow proper email protocol in order to protect not-really-secret state information. That is insane.
