There are almost no places on Reddit where you can discuss race in a place that's also gender-friendly. A lot of people come here because they expect to be treated kindly and with love and understanding. It's also hard to have conversations like this on Facebook for many people (though that's where I saw the OP because I follow Hari Kondabolu).

For better or worse, TrollX has slowly become the place hundreds of (mostly) women run to because they have nowhere else to talk about things that hurt them. Many others dislike this, because they come here to forget the things that hurt them.

I don't really have a solution, but I do think that a revaluation of what the sub is would be a better thing than harsh reinforcement of the rules that exist. I don't really know the mods here so I don't know how they think, but that is what I'd do.
