I actually love shitty transfer news. Fuck keeping you're feet on the ground, get hyped. I know how the tier system works, I appreciate when news should be considered reliable and when it shouldn't be.

But transfer season is fun, have fun with the pure shite talk! I love getting excited about potential transfers, I know the source is not 100% reliable, but let's have fun talking about it. I love believing even if it leads to heartbreak. I know what I'm signing up for by getting excited in the first place. The terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles, it's all so much better and more entertaining than boring my way through 2 or 3 months of transfer rumours!

Yeah I've never had a problem with Juve fans before but their whole reaction to the Pogba rumour has really wound me up.

Obviously the vast majority of them are probably really nice but there are so many cunts in there that are totally overreacting to the Pogba transfer. Most fans would laugh that they're gonna get 120m for a player but not the Juve fans, insecure isn't even the word for them.

I wouldn't care that much about playing our youth if we won titles. There seems to be a belief that we have to win AND play academy players which is not too realistic. Also that leads to many overrating our youth players.

This obsession with everyone and TFM is out of control. People are going around saying he needs to start at DM even though we have yet to see him play there for the first team.

He has shown moments where he has been good but overall his performances have not been worthy of the praise he seems to get from majority of this sub. I get that we love our youth but he has a long way to go until he deserves to even be a squad rotation player.

I must admit when I watch Periera play for Brazil, or tear it up at u21 I want him to play for us so badly. However, there is such huge mental jump from being a fringe first team player even to just a regular first team squad player. I really wonder if (MAJOR IF) Pogba does come, what type of impact he could have on players like Periera and Adnan. Players with definite talent but also with question marks on their mental approach to the game.

Over a small sample size maybe. Darmian when we signed him was voted the best Italian player for the national team, and proven first team player in a top league.

I feel like these opinions are so video game based. It's easy to slide in whomever to succeed in FIFA/FM but adapting in real life is so much harder.

Darmian is an established player and should start. Remember he started off the season so well and they then got struck and plagued with injuries throughout the season. If he continues to struggle in preseason and early on then we should revisit the idea of giving TFM a chance.

Kante is a good shout. However, I do think Pogba is a better option. He's younger and far more technically gifted than Kante. Kante is more of a CDM, while Pogba is an out-an-out CM.

    I would offer 70m for Kross and see if Real want to chase Pogba with the money. Then give 30m for Matuidi and call it a summer.

    As an alternate to Kross I would go for Griezmann with the 70m and still get Matuidi for 30m. Better than Pogba with either of these combinations in my opinion.

    120m is an investment. Not only is it a statement signing, but it pushes United back up to the pedigree we were at when Sir Alex was still here. This shows our intent and other players will be more willing to come. Players like Reus and Griezmann aren't exactly looking at United. This type of signing gets players' of their caliber attention. Plus! Pogba for 120m now is a better investment than most players because of his age. We can get 4-6 years out of him and still be able to sell him during or before his peak and earn most of his transfer fee back. Imagine we sell him for 80m in 4-6 years..that's like we paid 40m to load him for that time. Well worth it.

    I think Mata will actually be a regular next season. People say Jose doesn't like Mata. That isn't true at all. Jose really respected how professionally Mata delt with the situation at Chelsea and that's why he allowed him to go us.

    I think Jose is going to come in and prove a lot of his critics wrong and I think Jose finding a way to utilize Juan will be one of the ways he does that.

    He has definitely lost a step. However, despite that Pen, that first half was some of the best football I've seen him play in a long time. He was passing the ball so well, dictating the pace and even coming close with a long range shot.

    It's clear that he still has the talent, but definitely some major questions on whether he can do it week-in and week-out.

    I don't think Mata will last long under Jose again. He isn't a Jose type player, his positions are filled. We should use him as part of a swap deal for Pogba. We get Pogba and Juve get a brilliant replacement. I actually think Mata would do great in Serie A. I love Mata but it is what it is

    I'm not sure this is an unpopular opinion. I think most don't think he will stay under Mou and I've seen a lot of people suggest we should use him in a swap for Pogba because of Juve's need for a no.10. Unfortunately swap deals do not happen in this day in age because in most case the two teams involved value the player differently.

    I am glad Ryan Giggs is gone.

    He is without doubt an absolute LEGEND, however, I think sometimes being overly nostalgic is an issue for us (The club/board/fans). I think our board especially and some of our fans suffer from this at times.

    For example, the refusal to have a director or football although that seems to be the way in which most successful clubs now operate to ensure continuity despite managerial changes or holding on to the idea that "we are not a sacking club" when things might not work out with a manager because Sir Alex Ferguson was here for so long which I think will never happen again. Football has changed.

    Anyway, in short, I wish him the best but I am happy he is gone and Jose gets a somewhat clean slate without "Class of 92" or the ghost of SAF's legacy whispering (directly) in his ear.

    People get so emotionally invested in transfers here, I don't get it. And then when news of a player who was reportedly in talks doesn't result in that player coming, they throw tantrums at either Ed Woodward or the initial source in question. Same thing will happen with Pogba.

    Get over it. We aren't entitled to every player we're interested in, stop getting so emotional over transfer rumours.

    I think Mata will actually be a regular next season. People say Jose doesn't like Mata. That isn't true at all. Jose really respected how professionally Mata delt with the situation at Chelsea and that's why he allowed him to go us.

    I think Jose is going to come in and prove a lot of his critics wrong and I think Jose finding a way to utilize Juan will be one of the ways he does that.

    Why wouldn't Juan and Jose be motivated to prove everyone wrong?
