@Andrea: We are in the process of developing a customized charging pad where our batteries can be charged independently of the vest. Thank you for asking!

    5. Creator Adam Paulin 1 day ago

@Luke: Thank you for confirming your pledge. Because of the new value of your pledge, we will know you have ordered an extra battery and add it to your Kickstarter order manually. We appreciate your support!

    6. Andrea D'Aquino 1 day ago

How do you *charge* batteries? Can you have your vest directly plugged to a power plug?

Hi, I added the $15 to my original $188 (Total now $203). I could click both the 15 for the battery and the 169 (+19 canadian shipping). Will you know to add extra battery? Thank you.

    8. Creator Adam Paulin 2 days ago

@Wiley: Awesome. We will ensure to add that to your order. Thanks for your support. We are sure you will enjoy the extra juice!

@Oil: Thank you for your message. We are working on such a visual explainer. Thank you for your patience, giving the demands of our ongoing campaign delaying that process slightly. We will also work on updating the FAQ section in the next few days to ensure all the common answers are easily accessible. Thank you!

@Creator - I am interested to see a video with details of your 2.0 version. It doesn't have to be a super polished video, just something simple with visual answers to some of the good questions posted here ( where are the battery/peltier-Elements, ect.). Thx.

    13. Creator Adam Paulin 2 days ago

@Jake: No problemo. If you have any additional questions. Don't hesitate to ask!

    14. Creator Adam Paulin 2 days ago

@Brian: As we've mentioned, support@thiniceweightloss.com is the best place to direct those questions because with your preferred email we can facilitate your request promptly. Thank you very much.

    15. Creator Adam Paulin 2 days ago

@John Purdue: Refer to the reply to Jake below to start. If you have additional specific questions, please ask. We have NO affiliation with Martin Turgeon and the campaign was taken down because we flagged it as a copycat to Kickstarter. Please let us know if you have additional questions.

    16. Creator Adam Paulin 2 days ago

@Jake: Thank you for your support. I have no problem elaborating for you here.

Link 1 and 3: These are links to the same Indiegogo project (the second project we launched after our first failed campaign).

Link 2: Our original, failed campaign, closely followed by the campaign in links 1 and 3.

Link 4: A campaign that was offered to our 1.0 backers to pre-order the 2.0 (this helped us test demand for the 2.0)

Links 5-9: These were all landing pages for the same crowdfunding campaign directed at groups with different psychologies and based on cross promotional partnerships. They were all launched together and ran in parallel and the links, at the time, were shared only with the groups that they targeted. Because it is not best practice to take crowdfunding campaigns down, they are still up but should not be active.

Link 10: We have NO affiliation with this campaign at all. They copied our campaign without our permission and they were taken down because we alerted Kickstarter about them.

Link 11: This campaign, meant to increase the backership of the 2.0 version of the technology to ensure its smooth production for December of this year.

Also note: most links are focused on the 2.0 which has always been promised for December of this year. Anything offering 1.0 was cancelled because 91% of those who bought the 1.0 chose to upgrade to the 2.0. The small backers left were given the option for a refund since we could not produce such a small volume.

If you have further questions please ask,

      Thank you

    17. John Purdue 3 days ago

Could you please identify your relationship with Martin Turgeon, the developer of the product from the prior Kickstarter campaign? In what way is Mr. Turgeon associated with this "version 2.0" product?

    18. Missing avatar

      Brian Hatcher 3 days ago

My opinion is not echoed? You tricked all of us original backers into upgrading to the 2.0 told us up until Last week that we could receive 1.0's and then failed to deliver them entirely. I upgraded to the 2.0 and purchased two 1.0 vest from you all on your fundrazr crowdfunding where you told us a we could still receive the 1.0 at half price. For those who don't know or don't believe me here is a link to that page. This campaign ended on June 18th I believe then two weeks later you announce you've cancelled production on them altogether? Seems fishy to me

      https://fundrazr.com/Exclusivethinice1.0offer

and would like a refund for those since they are not being produced anymore. That's 89$ + 89$ = 178$ total refund.

Also here is a link to the indiegogo campaign for people who think others don't feel like me. Just scroll to the bottom and look at the comments section of the campaign, there are countless disappointed backers.

Also Adam, I am a backer of this campaign and have been for a long time. I am asking questions just like others. How can I receive my refund? Thank you.

    19. John Purdue 3 days ago

Yes, I would very much appreciate a detailed reply to the herein referenced video. As you assert that there are factual errors, I hope that you are able to quickly and confidently state your case. I am a campaign backer and would like to offer my support by helping to promote the product's technical capabilities and the developer's business acumen.

    20. Creator Adam Paulin 3 days ago

@Brian: Thank your your message. We're sorry to hear that you feel this way. Unfortunately your opinion is not echoed int he 91% of backers who upgraded to the 2.0 version of our technology that we are offering here. As you know, from our updates on Indiegogo, that caused us to halt production of the 1.0 product and focus on the 2.0 product. We also maintain that there are several factual errors in the video shared below which we are more than happy to explain on a detail by detail basis if anyone would like to know something specific. Finally, this comment thread is designed for Kickstarter backers to communicate and comment. It doesn't appear you are interested in supporting our Kickstarter campaign. Thank you very much for letting those who have questions about the product make use of this thread.

MESSAGE TO ANYONE WHO IS WANTING TO BACK THIS PRODUCT. DONT. They will take your money and never deliver any product. I have been a backer since their first fundraising venture in idiegogo and they fail miserably at communication and will drop promised products without telling you. The video that is posted a few comments below by Christopher is completely true. At this point I just want a refund for my wasted investment.

    22. Creator Adam Paulin 3 days ago

Hi everyone! Don't forget about our ongoing contest! How will creatively you use Thin Ice? We will pick our favourite usage case and give away a free vest to that person! Don't for get to let us know in the public comments what you plan to do :)

    23. Creator Adam Paulin 3 days ago

@Christopher: Thanks for your message. Unfortunately the publisher of the video took a lot of liberty in their interpretation of nearly every fact presented in the video. Please email support@thiniceweightloss.com and we can break down each point brought up that worries you. We are not afraid to confront any content described in the video head on and shed light on the true story. Thank you very much.

I was really excited when I saw this. I really wanted it to be true.
      Then I saw this...

      https://youtu.be/Jax0pdurIkQ

Is there any truth to this?

    25. Creator Adam Paulin 3 days ago

@CJ Miller: Thanks for your question. A lot of people have had this questions given the unique way Kickstarter accepts pledges. Assuming you are from the US here is the calculation:

      Perk: $169 CAD
      Shipping: $19 CAD
      Battery: $15

So, to redeem both the system and the extra battery you can pledge $203 CAD or about $157 USD.

      I hope this helps!

I don't know that I did my pledge correct or not. I want an extra battery and did the pledge $169 or more
      About $132 USD

I tried to calculate it with the shipping to usa and the extra battery and not sure if I did it correctly or not.

@Jake: Thank you for your message. We'll be releasing an update on the battery soon since there are a tonne of questions regarding it. It will give a little graphic of where the battery is and its approximate size. Thank you!

    29. Jake Steele 4 days ago

How large is the battery and where does it sit in the clothing?

    30. Creator Adam Paulin 4 days ago

@PrinceLi: Thank you for your inquiry. We are trying our best to select materials that will allow us to offer multiple colours. At this time we are only offering black but it is possible that before we deliver the option will be given to change the colour. Thank you!

    31. Creator Adam Paulin 4 days ago

@Akiko: Thank you for your message. To get extra batteries added to your order, you can upgrade your perk to $15 more and we will add the the battery to your order manually. If you have further questions please let us know!

@Andrew: Thanks for your excitement for the CNBC segment. Can you clarify which topics you suggest be covered in the video containing the 2.0? Our main video explains the features it has above and beyond the 1.0 but it may be that we missed something you are curious about. Thank you very much.
