It's not in the UK yet, though if you are on Android you can download the .apk file. This is where I got mine.

You can get in on iOS by changing your location settings to Australia, New Zealand or USA. You may need to log out of your Apple account though to do so.

Nah it works fine, a bit slow though that depends on your internet/data connection. I live just outside London and had no problem though it doesn't have things like train tracks so you just end up travelling through fields. Even has locations for Gyms or PokeStops like train stations so it's all setup to go.

Anyone have good / bad experience with whey proteins? I'm regular at the gym now and only recently started taking whey after workout. I'm 183 cm / 95 kg and doing mainly strenght training. Not looking to gain mass or look shredded, but I'd like to lose some fat. Do proteins help?

You could very well do it without the supplementary protein . Just be sure to eat correctly!

Yes take it. It's like 100 calories for 20g of protein and all it is is a supplement, people have took that stuff everyday for years and had no side effects apart from their arse smelling like death.

The rule of thumb a lot of people go by is 1g of protein for every pound of bodyweight, but this is likely way too much. I weigh about 75kg and aim for 100g of protein every day and my recovery and gains are fine.

Protein is just food. It is useful for making a diet function but is not a replacement for a diet. The best use for it actually is putting on weight as you can drink more calories than you can eat often.

For losing fat you should stick to a good diet, foods low in fat and sodium, stay away from foods high in sugar, and do lots of cardio as well as your strength training if you'd like to continue to put on muscle mass. Taking protein supplements helps your muscles recover from workouts but is not crucial for burning fat, good old fashioned cardio will take care of that.

I've lost 5kg in 3 months eating nothing but beef/chicken/eggs/nuts and <25g of carbs and no cardio. Lost barely any muscle but plenty of fat.

If you want to lose weight you need to focus on training hard and be eating at a caloric deficit (less than your maintenance calories). Protein shakes are a good easy way to get protein in your diet but if your losing weight it takes a chunk of your calories in a liquid form which wouldn't fill your hunger hence why most people cutting(losing weight) tend to go for whole foods.

Look into an if it fits your macros diet. Basically it splits your calories into macro nutrients (protein/fat/carbs) and aslong as your training hard, eating less than your maintenance level (300-500 less are manageable) you'll lose weight.

I personally dont like to take protein shakes/supplements in general but they're handy I have to admit especially after training when I can't be arsed cooking immediately.

Also some motivation for you theres no better feeling than stepping on those scales and seeing your hard work paying off. I was dead skinny and I basically had to force food down me to get weight but it gets easier and the results are addictive.

Some simple tips that you might know already:

  • Do you know your body fat %? If so, what's your target? This makes planning a bit easier and more focused.

  • If you want to lose fat, try your best to have a caloric deficit every day. Even if it's just 100 calories, in the long run it will make a difference.

  • On a similar line, if you want to lose fat, reduce your intake of carbohidrates, particularly at the evening/night if you work out in the mornings, or in the mornings if you work out at night.

  • Take your whey approx. 30 minutes before hitting the gym. It's more efficient than taking it after your workout.

More lean muscle you put on, the more fat you burn. Whey protein helps so much post workout because it's really good at supplying your body with proteins in a short time.

Your main diet will be more important though in deciding whether you'll burn fat. If you intake less calories than you burn, you'll lose fat. Simple as.

My only issue with this is that if say we buy Pogba for £80-100m, then we might have to pay more for a world class forward in the future.

Generally forwards are the most expensive players and if you look, 4 of the top 5 most expensive transfers are forwards. Even though James (5th) De Bruyne (6th) and Zidane (joint 7th) are all midfielders, they (or were for Zidane) are all attacking midfielders who can play forward roles and score and assist lots of goals; whereas Pogba is more of a box-to-box who can play CAM but is better suited to CM and won't put up the same numbers that those 3 do/did (even though his overall game is better).

Might be a stupid issue but that's what I can see happening. I'd still love Pogba though.

I'm hoping Portugal win it because I want it for Ronaldo, having a trophy for his national team will solidify him as one of the best ever (not that he isn't already). So have to say I was majorly pissed off at Jon Jones yesterday, but Silva has stepped in to take his place at UFC 200 which softens the blow. Not too excited for the new main event but I can understand they want a legit title fight as main event.

Reading the news about what's going on in Dallas is heartbreaking as well, I hope no one is killed and it can be resolved. Never want to wake up to hear things like that happening even if it is on the other side of the world

Same here bro! Financially it doesn't make sense as they won't get as many PPV buys I don't think. But they have had title fights here in the past.

Dublin & Conor would be amazing. I went to Dublin last year to.. Terrible card 2 main events pulled out. Still went and the atmosphere was crazy.

I actually love shitty transfer news. Fuck keeping you're feet on the ground, get hyped. I know how the tier system works, I appreciate when news should be considered reliable and when it shouldn't be.

But transfer season is fun, have fun with the pure shite talk! I love getting excited about potential transfers, I know the source is not 100% reliable, but let's have fun talking about it. I love believing even if it leads to heartbreak. I know what I'm signing up for by getting excited in the first place. The terrifying lows, the dizzying highs, the creamy middles, it's all so much better and more entertaining than boring my way through 2 or 3 months of transfer rumours!
