For the most part, this is ultimately a good thing. People fear us.

If we manage to get Pogba, without a shadow of a doubt, we have the best team in the league ATM. People don't want to admit it either, but we have a damn good chance of winning the league next season, even without Pogba (Matuidi as the alternate).

Was talking to a City fan today who still tried to shit on us about Pogba. He said "I hope Pogba does go to United, paying 100 mil for your own player would be the biggest fail of all time".

Personally still think City have a better squad but we're extremely close and Mourinho is Prem proven.

As of now, we have a significantly better defense, with Pogba or Matuidi a better midfield, and a marginally worse attack.

As of now, we have a significantly better defense

Do we? An unconvicing Rojo, an injury prone Jones, an untested Bailly, we literally only have one top CB right now. I would say both defence's are similar.

with Pogba or Matuidi a better midfield

Again, I would say the quality of both midfields are similar. They'll still have Gundogan, Fernando, Fernandinho, Yaya, Delph. Maybe we'll even see KDB in midfield due to City's depth in attack.

I just hate the immaturity of it all. It's okay to discuss things and perhaps not agree on certain things but to simply downvote someone out of spite seems awfully childish and not worth anyone's time.

Of course, as opposed to this sub, where people with conflicting opinions have measured and mature discussions and everybody's perspective is enriched for it

Generally I like to think that most people on this sub are quite level headed. Sure you'll find the odd bellend here and there, but usually, at least from my experience, there's usually better discussions going on rather than childish banter.

r/soccer likes to shit on the biggest teams anyway they can. It's a huge circlejerk full of memes and jokes anyway.

One thing I really dislike about r/soccer is when people actually talk about the games and analyze what they watch in match threads but they're buried by shit memes.
