If you ever (which I hope you don't) buy a Subzero, pray you never need customer service from Jet. I got one as a gift in Jan. and in March/April the anodizing started coming off the stem where it opens in the base. I talking in flakes and crap that I coughed up. Jet said that they have never seen the anodizing come off like that. I ONLY USE ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL IN A SPRAY BOTTLE TO CLEAN IT. NO BRUSHES or SCRUBBERS or PIPE CLEANERS of any sort. I've got about $350.00 in this thing between the stacks and extra parts and stuff, I'm careful. Anyway, they said they would replace the part but I would have to pay for shipping. What! It's not my fault the part is defective or was anodized wrong. I paid for shipping on a non-defective part, Jet sent me a defective part and now wants me to pay for shipping again to be sent another stem that I hope is made right this time. Jet said they would send my stem in an envelope with stamps before they sent it in a way that I could get a tracking number/insur. and if it got lost in the mail or something it would not be replaced. If I were to pay for shipping and that one is screwed up also, guess what?, I'm getting punished again for getting a defective part. I would have to pay for shipping again because Jet screwed up. Sounds fair, right? Hell no! JET, If your product breaks or starts to break in the first 4 months, especially when you brag about how tough all the parts and coatings are, YOU(Jet) should replace and send the part for free, not make the purchaser pay again. Maybe if the person has had a lot of warranty work and Jet has to keep paying for that persons shipping, but this is the first problem I've had. I hope it's my last!!

JET is a pretty small company man, (I think it's just three guys) and they offer a lifetime warranty on their product. That's not cheap to maintain and in my experience they have been fast and happy to replace anything that has been damaged. I really don't think it's too much to ask to pay for shipping (they're giving you the part for free) when a company as small as this offers a warranty as good as theirs.

You conveniently left out the part where there said they would ship for free and only want you to pay if you want the package to be tracked. That's perfectly reasonable

I didn't conveniently leave it out. They said the only way it would be shipped is if I paid for it. "That's how we've always done it, the part is being replaced for free, the recipient just needs to cover the shipping." Quote from jet. When I made a fuss is when he got back to me and

"We could send out the part for free via usps (since it fits in a padded envelope). However, there wouldn't be a tracking number, so if the package gets lost we cannot send another.

If you are ok with that I will have Dane package it up and get it in the mail tomorrow morning.

Let us know how you would like to proceed.

Thanks! Geoff JET Filtration Systems"

They offered free shipping, which you didn't mention. Stop trying to paint yourself as a victim here and be an adult.

"EVERYBODY LISTEN, I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR SHIPPING(money is not the issue) IF IT HADN'T STARTED FALLING APART AFTER A FEW MONTHS, BUT I HAD JUST GOT DONE PAYING FOR SHIPPING ON THE DEFECTIVE PART." I just gave them over $300.00 for a mostly plastic b0ng and parts and they can't afford to send me a stem JET screwed up on making, not me, in a way so I can get a tracking number.

[–]nappiestapparatus 0ポイント1ポイント  (1子コメント)

If money isn't the issue, why do you keep bitching about paying for a tracking number? Just pay the damn fee if you're that set on a tracking number. Or if you're going to keep bitching about the money, accept their free shipping. You have been offered multiple reasonable options yet continue to complain; you're acting like a child.

Principle. Do you even read all the post? How do I know it will even be sent? Take this companies's word for it. The one with stellar customer service or the one that I've been emailing for 6 days with no response? "EVERYBODY LISTEN, I WOULD HAVE PAID FOR SHIPPING(money is not the issue) IF IT HADN'T STARTED FALLING APART AFTER A FEW MONTHS, BUT I HAD JUST GOT DONE PAYING FOR SHIPPING ON THE DEFECTIVE PART." I just gave them over $300.00 for a mostly plastic b0ng and parts and they can't afford to send me a stem JET screwed up on making, not me, in a way so I can get a tracking number.

What's a subzero?

Also this is the first time I have ever seen an issue like this in a jet water pipe. Odds are it's from user error and you are just too proud to admit it. I have had my jet for over a year and clean it weakly WITH a pipe cleaner/ scrubber and mine looks practically good as new.

[–]nappiestapparatus 0ポイント1ポイント  (1子コメント)

SubZero is the official name of the pipe; he's right about that much.

[–]SpringerTheNerd 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

Yeah I looked it up. Just never really seen it referred to as subzero before

[–]SirShakeALot1[S] -3ポイント-2ポイント  (3子コメント)

A SubZero is what you have been cleaning "weakly" for over a year. You wanna talk about user error, they say don't use pipe cleaners Einstein.

[–]SpringerTheNerd 1ポイント2ポイント  (2子コメント)

I have always seen it referred to as a jet water pipe and I personally just call it the jet. And it doesn't say not to use pipe cleaners it specifically says don't use "Nailpolish Remover, Acetone Free Nailpolish Remover, LYE (sodium hydroxide), WaterPipe Cleaners (even if they say safe for plastic, as they are referring to acrylic not polycarbonate)" when I said pipe cleaner I was talking about something to physically scrub it. So again you are clearly bitter that your dumb ass ruined an extremely durable water pipe and just don't want to admit it

[–]SirShakeALot1[S] -2ポイント-1ポイント  (1子コメント)

Also avoid using specialty pipe cleaners (even the ones that say "for plastic and metal") I'm not bitter. I'm laughing at all the uneducated comments. They're even more funny stoned. weakly, what's a SubZero? :):):):) But you call me a dumbass. I admit it, I ruined a stem w/ the same type-III hardcoat that goes on engine pistons with rubbing alcohol. Yep, I confess.(that was sarcasm) You're the dumbass if you think that's possible.

[–]SpringerTheNerd 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

If you look a bit closer that list is for cleaning SOLUTIONS not cleaning devices. But I'm sure you where being sarcastic right?
