Silly season has returned for the 4th summer on /r/reddevils!

Most of you know the drill.

For those who don't...From today until the window closes, a transfer round-up & discussion thread will be made every day. In these threads, ANYTHING can be talked about. Any player, in or out, any transfer fee, anything!

Now, with these threads starting, this means that rumours submitted as separate posts will be removed unless they are from reliable sources!

I think if United and Pogba want then Juventus' hands are tied and I doubt they'd turn it down unless they're after more. This will just be drawing it out and agreeing terms. I believe at this stage it will happen unless Real Madrid are prepared to fork out. That's the worry for me.

I only think they'll sell if Pogba asks. I personally think it might be best for him to stay there for another year or two to develop, but nonetheless, he'll be worth the same in a couple of years as he is worth now...so they don't really have a reason so sell right now.

Yeah you're right that he's young enough that he will still be worth the same (if not maybe more somehow) in a year or two. Juventus aren't in a rush to sell but £100m is £100m.

No one is going to bid more. Real Madrid and Barcelona will definitely offer less than that because Pogba actually wants to move to one of those clubs. Juve won't get a better deal than 120m.

    He did not say that. He just states that United have not bid for Pogba yet and if they decide to do so, it's up to Juve whether to accept or reject the offer. That said, it is pretty clear that Juve are going to accept a world record fee for a player they are going to eventually lose anyway. But I am not convinced that Pogba actually wants to join us rather than Real.

    It doesn't say that, it's just the Google translation. What I got from the article is that once the bid is presented Juventus can reject or accept. I could be wrong but I don't think he is claiming that the bid will be rejected for sure.

    Not convinced about Matuidi personally, puts in a good shift and has games where he looks very good but a couple of times I've watched him too and he looked a bit of a headless chicken. Not sure he'd be a consistent performer with the pace of the EPL..
