I saw that - and found it rude and insulting. And to add insult to injury, the toothpaste contains Sodium Laureth Sulfate, which is nasty shit I try to avoid.

I moved to Spry (cinnamon rocks!) for awhile but mostly just use peppermint, coconut oil, and baking soda. Does the trick and better than conventional toothpaste. Occasional hydrogen peroxide (don't use this if you have mercury fillings, though).

Tom's can bite me with its condescending labeling. The Israelis removed fluoride from their water and you don't see them being called anti-science goofballs, why am I a kook for wanting it out of my toothpaste?

Well clearly Israel wants bad teeth if they're removing fluoride. I guess it makes sense why we give them so much money. We need to pay for their cavities /s

Israel is removing it from their products because they know what it does. That is also why they are undoubtedly behind it being put in so many FDA "approved" American products. AIPAC overlords dictate the American government and media.

I think it's fine.

What would you have preferred they say? Were you hoping it would go something like this:

"Fluoride has been identified as a neurotoxin, it is a known carcinogen, it has been linked to a whole host of other bad shit and should be avoided so we leave that crap out of our toothpaste."?

I'm not sure that would ever happen for a product that is on the market to be sold to the public.

They would be doing their own business a disservice, because they sell regular fluoride toothpaste as well as the fluoride free.

Hahaha. I like smart comments like these. How funny would a skit be that shows a mom looking through toothpaste and picks up the one saying fluoride free and reads your version of the label. Quickly puts the crest shit back on the shelf like wtf

Let me know what you guys think about the label if you want. Fluoride labels will usually say' Strengthens teeth! Fights cavities! 'But the label for no fluoride toothpaste says 'we respect our customers diverse needs' what a random label wtf

Do you have a picture of the label?

Found this on a Google search. I'm on mobile so it takes too long to link a photo from my phone. https://goo.gl/images/oNBz5F

Interesting. Thanks. I was a Tom's of Maine customer for a time being. Still respect the effort on their part. I think they sold out to a major brand like Burt's Bees though. We need a better economy at some point. Peace.

They actually got bought by Colgate, so the snotty attitude towards fluoride-avoiding customers and the addition of sodium laureth sulfate to a 'natural' toothpaste begins to make more sense.

Burt's Bees got bought out by Clorox. o_0

I've used it before it tastes nasty but it works. Plus it's a bit more expensive than normal toothpaste.

They also have deodorants too that are nice.

It's just a company trying to not insult or offend anyone to maximize it's profits.

Standard Politically Correct speak for 2016, offend no one, sell to everyone...
