Players to succeed under Mourinho? (self.reddevils)

Hopefully this post isn't too shitty, but it's something I've been thinking about lately and wanted to hear some opinions from everyone here.

We've seen it happen with both DM and LVG: under different managers, certain players tend to flourish and develop successfully, while other players lose their promising trajectory they once showed (Januzaj under Moyes/LVG.)

With Mourinho now in charge, which players, if any, are you worried about not flourishing under his management style?

Despite all the rumours I can see Schneiderlin getting back to his Southampton form.

Mou is a big fan of Shaw, so I'm sure he'll be a delight to watch.

Smalling had so many partners last season in Blind, Rojo and if I remember correctly even Carrick put in a shift or two. His partnership with Bailly can surely only make him better.

I think Darmian will flourish under Mou as well.

I'm worried about Adnan as I struggle to imagine a scenario where he'll be played. I don't really see a place for Rojo either, but I'm not too bothered about that. I'm guessing we'll mainly play Martial on the left in the league, and giving Memphis' the EL and cups to build him back up.

A lot depends on the system - we've seen the 4231 and 433 with a single pivot thrown about. That will affect which midfielders have the best shot to perform. Herrera and Schneiderlin could both bounce back, but that depends on what they're asked to do.

Shaw was well on his way to being a beast, and if fully healthy I only see that continuing.

Couple of underdog picks: I think Jones will have a mini-resurgence. He is still pretty young and has all the talent. With good luck health wise he might finally come good at CB, or be an Ivanovic type at RB across from Shaw. That said, he won't displace Smalling and Bailly wasn't bought for that price not to play.

I think Memphis has the right attitude and motivation to make it work. Martial will be ahead of him at LW, but if Martial moves to striker when Zlatan subs off or doesn't start, Memphis will have a shot on the wing with Shaw behind him.

Hopeful Pereira gets a shot. He's a little on the smaller side but is very feisty and I could see him as a 10 getting minutes over players like Mata or Herrera.

I think everyone will get a bump in confidence tbh he will bring back that seige mentallity that we have been lacking and get the players hyped up and willing to give evrything for him and the shirt. I honestly believe this is the type of manager we need. i know our shirts (usually) say Believe but Mourinho will bring back the passion and fight that we the fans want to see again.
