The far-left was almost equally insane over the Benghazi and email investigations. Many were firmly convinced that one of the two investigations would result in criminal charges against Hillary Clinton. It was a long shot, but websites pandered long and hard to Bernie supporters with false news stories. Some even went so far as to pay admins of pro-Bernie groups to allow their spam posts, as we saw in the case of Bernie Sanders Dank Meme Stash.
Their imagined indictments would then clear the way for Bernie Sanders to be the nominee, turning super delegates away from Hillary Clinton, and forcing the Democratic Party to #FeelTheBern. I’m a Bernie Sanders supporter, but the behavior of some of the most fervent Bernie Bots online made it hard to tell the far-left from the far-right. You know it has gotten bad when people who are on your side start using links from Breitbart or WND to “prove” Hillary Clinton is corrupt and should be in prison.
One of the most insufferable writers on the left is H.A. Goodman who has penned some ridiculous blogs pandering to the Bernie or Bust crowd. Predictably, he made today’s announcement by the FBI not to charge Hillary Clinton all about himself, despite the fact he was completely wrong all this time.

For his followers, facts and numbers didn’t count. All that mattered was the unreasonable adoration of Bernie Sanders where anything to the contrary was a pro-Hillary conspiracy, and he capitalized on giving media credence to their delusions. If you had removed the references to Bernie Sanders in H.A. Goodman’s tweets today, it wouldn’t be hard to confuse his self-masturbatory commentary with the remarks from the likes of Donald Trump or the conservative media.
