Great tool.
Nir Sofer has been busy and has even more of his tools available now. I realize that you can't be releasing a new installer every day, but I always look forward to the latest release because it always includes the newer amazing tools. So, I await the next release.
Windows 7 64 Bit
I have windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit and when I installed nirsoft_installer - Version 1.35 - 10 Jun 2010 it installed into the Program Files (x86) directory like I would expect it to. But the Icons that get created in the Start Button Program files Nirsoft point to files under "Program Files" not "Program Files (x86)". Which equals to File not found.

Something is wrong (backward). When choosing a custom installation and Unicode (XP, 2003, etc.), the Windows 98 programs are checked for download, and vice versa.
thank you

Some new programs not included, like ProcessActivityView and RegFromApp. Will they be added?
v1.33
Thanks for your work! Very useful!
v1.33 is my first version ( with all XP tool selected ) and I see only one problem with bluescreenview.exe: a folder called "bluescreenview.exe" was created into the NirSoft installation folder and I can't see their shortcut. All other tools seems downloaded and installed fine.
I would like to see a couple of new options during the setup:
- to choose a custom folder for the shorcuts
- and for save my install settings
Finally, I wonder if you can develop a similar installer for another great collections of tools from Sysinternals. I can download a pack, but I would like to have a similar StartMenu folder with all the shorcuts correctly named.
thanks
Suggestion: rename the readme.txt in zip packages
All of the the NirSoft software packages include a readme.txt file, this file gets overwritten by the readme.txt from the next package, the installer should rename this file, e.g. if the package is bluetoothview.zip then rename the readme.txt in it to be bluetoothview.txt. Then no file is lost.
Nirsoft
Some drawbacks are
Nirsoft Installer 1.31 missing 3 programs: BluetoothCL, BlueScreenView, and LiveContactsView so they should override the old version.
sarafoster
These 3 programs were added in version 1.33
ndhermit
Good suggestion. I'll try to get that in the next release.
Error
Not sure what happened to my previous post... But anyhow, I am receiving an error using the latest version (1.32). Specifically, during installation (Windows 7 RC, selected all utilities, XP/2003/Vista/2008/7+) unpacking bluescreenview.zip fails.
I have disabled A/V software, disabled Windows Defender, ran with admin rights (UAC is enabled), no difference. I can manually download and unpack the bluescreenview.zip file from the nirsoft.net website, so it's unlikely that the hosted file is corrupt...
Any suggestions?
Error
Getting an error during install using version 1.32 unpacking bluescreenview.zip. I can download and unzip this file OK from the nirsoft.net website.
Disabled any A/V software, disabled Windows Defender (using Windows 7 RC), no change. UAC is enabled, also attempted installer execution with Admin rights, no change.
NirSoft Installer 1.31 issues
Nirsoft Installer 1.31 is missing these 3 programs: BluetoothCL, BlueScreenView, and LiveContactsView (all 3 are new programs, so this isn't an oversight)
Nirsoft Installer downloads Dialupass but it isn't the latest version available from Nirsoft.
MrBrian,
I've incorporated your suggestions into 1.32. Thanks for the heads up!

Ability to select 64bit specific apps
Hi,
I found your site after delving into the MSFN project for the SI installer and noticed the NirSoft installer you have built as well.
I know that Nir Sofer makes *some* apps that are 64bit specific, and I *believe* that there may be one or two such projects as well in the Sysinternals build - would there be an easy way to modify the NSIS script to allow for selection of 64bit apps for those apps that are 64bit specific?
P.S. - sorry about the post to the RSS - for some reason I did not see the message to post here until after I had posted there....

Nirsoft Installer 1.26 issues
Nirsoft Installer 1.26 is missing these 3 programs:
chromecacheview, snremove, and startbluescreen.
In the configuration file, the line '!insertmacro DownloadCLI "2 3" "AtNow - Near-Future Command Scheduler" "http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/chromepass.zip" ""' can be removed.
P.S. Thank you for this time-saving program!
Nirsoft Installer 1.20
Something is wrong (backward). When choosing a custom installation and Unicode (XP, 2003, etc.), the Windows 98 programs are checked for download, and vice versa.
Some new programs not included, like ProcessActivityView and RegFromApp. Will they be added?
Dubiaku
Thank you for the feedback. I have incorporated all of your fixes into the 1.21 release.
