Who should play at CM? (self.reddevils)

I am not sure which formation José would choose but I think the 4231 suits Man utd best. I think the 2 midfielders should consist of one passive player (Carrick, Schneiderlin, Blind) who can dictate the game and play creative passes - and one active player (Herrera, Schweinsteiger, TFM, "Matuidi") who can create room and link well with the players. Which other player would be an upgrade for our midfield? Who should go?

I think we're likely to see a fluid 4-3-3/4-2-3-1 system especially if one of Pogba or Matuidi sign for us since they don't particularly play well in a purely defending midfield role. I'm thinking something along the lines of a midfield trio of Morgan at CDM with Rooney and Pogba/Matuidi as box-to-box CMs.

We need to sign an actual proper DM so we can play Schneiderlin/Herrera as a B2B, or a Carrick type midfielder/Carrick himself. Schneiderlin wasn't a DM at southampton and I think we're really missing the best bits of Schneiderlin by playing him as a pure DM.
