Whats even more impressive to me is that not once did he press the wrong button (to my knowledge) and stayed on time via internal metronome

Not to criticize, just an observation I've made, a lot of times, performers who know their audience has heard their material before can get away with a few slip ups, in fact it's usually better to play off slip ups. I do public speaking, usually people have never heard my speech, so if I say the wrong words, or forget what I was supposed to say, I just make it look like it's all part of the plan, which helps a LOT with the nervousness factor

Plus his tempo changes slightly several times. And his build up at the start was just terrible.
