Sure. I could exclude all of them and make his stats fantastic by including all CL competitions instead. I could discount the two games that weren't full games. I could add Milan and Sweden games against top competition and/or include domestic top teams. Or I could just add all the games against european top competition in PSG and call it a day without confirmation bias. The latter was the easiest so that's what I did.

In the last two years in about 1400 minutes in the Champions League, Ibrahimovic scored seven non-penalty goals and assisted three, compared with six expected goals and three expected assists. Against better generally competition than he faced in Ligue 1, Ibrahimovic has been a good striker but short of a true superstar.

No offense but that's an utter garbage analysis. One of those years, as seen in my complete stats, was clearly an outlier with lots of poorly timed niggling injuries and limited playing time. If you go back three years instead of two he scored 17 goals with 4 assist in 2027 minutes. And if you remove that off season it's 15 goals and 3 assist in 1550 minutes. So why be selective? It's just lazy confirmation bias and not even closely relevant in any meaningful way, except to perhaps suggest that he might be getting more injury prone with age which would be a relevant proposal if it wasn't an isolated set of data. Other than that I've taken shits with more substance. :)

Not sure how convincing this is. For the past year and a half he hasn't performed well in the CL, and that includes shit teams like City and Chelsea.

I hope he plays great but I have big doubts.
