Hey everyone, these are some of my hoodie designs for overwatch :) these are just concepts and designs, no real product exists! (as of yet) I really want to make these a reality though. some of you may remember me from /r/thelastairbender where I did a few avatar based designs around a year ago. I really really want to somehow make these a reality with working through blizzard if possible, I've done hoodies and stuff before so its all technically possible, but want to go through the official means (no bootlegs!) with blizzard. So was wondering if any of you are close to the guys at blizz can maybe throw in a good word or two for me :D

(yes I have other characters designs I'm working on, but not everything looks great so I wont be posting them if I cant crack the 'it looks pretty cool' factor :D)

as long as you don't put any logos, icons, or character names on them and keep them as "neutral" as they are, and don't advertise them specifically as Overwatch related, you should totally be able to sell them without blizzard approval. and I'd so buy them because I hate it when they put their logos and labels and whatnot on everything :P

I agree to not liking logos. I like it where if the person knows what its from they get the reference, not "OVERWATCH" tattooed on the front.

However I think what OP wants it to give blizzard compensation in some type of way, or allow them to profit off this too.

I only buy stuff like this. Where it says nothing about what it is, just colors/symbols etc. it's so much better when people get the reference.

Yes. I like to be subtle with my clothing

I saw a girl at PAX wearing a FWC shirt, and that's all it was – the FWC logo. No giant "Destiny!" on it or anything.

I like the D.Va hoodie OP did for the same reason: it's got the bunny on it, and people who know it will know what it is, but people who don't will just think it's a cute hoodie with a cute design.

I don't usually buy merch of anyhting, but this is the exact reason I own a homestuck dave shirt. People have even complimented it without even knowing what was the refrance.

Good for you ! Labels are just another way for corporations and the white man to keep us down. I dont care if my cleaning products are 'harmful to children' this is america, just sell me that damn fruity delicious looking laundry detergent !

This is why I never buy Official apparel. The name is usually all over the place and it's always HUGE.

I love my Bethesda "101" hoodie because they don't pull that crap.

Do you RedBubble everything?

[–]eawhiteZarya 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

No. I barely have any apparel for movie/shows/video games I like. I would like to buy more but I'd prefer to buy official apparel but they hardly every make anything I like.

[–]CustapHey, that's pretty good! 3ポイント4ポイント  (0子コメント)

That is most likely OP's intention, and good on him/her, for it is based on their design, blizzard payed very skilled artists to create the designs for these heroes. + I really need a reason to buy stuff off the Blizz store and pay for packaging so I can get a winston + crimson whelpling plush.

Would he get away with D.VA's hoodie? It has D.VA's logo on it aswell as fake sponsors at the bottom of it.

Uhh. Don't take legal advice from strangers online including me. The sweaters are like enough that it could be considered infringing on Blizzard's intellectual property. OP will have to be at the Mercy of Blizzard.

Because he made these and posted them publicly is exactly why they will never happen.

While I agree this tends to ruin the appeal to clothing, it's still something companies have to do. If they put it on the inside of the hoodie near the bottom, it'd beat having it on the chest or back of the neck. It would be mostly concealed.
