Noob Question about the environmental impact of mining. (self.Buttcoin)

Hi! Sorry if this questions been asked before but I've been hearing some disturbing data in regards to mining. Is it true that the average bitcoin farm is using 21.7 gw of fossil fuel procured energy.... to enable this current skull fucking?

I just want to say thank you. So far in 2016, and I am not kidding, I have made ~$3,400 shorting bitcoin and it is thanks to you.

How so you may ask?

It is quite simple! I open a new short position everytime the price increases enough that you feel compelled to make a stupid post here. Actually, full disclosure, I wait until you make a few stupid posts to be certain the price is about to drop and the euphoria is adequately saturated.

So thank you, bagholder, for being a perfect guide to shorting these stupid internet tokens so far.

I am too tired to check that number now.

What I can confirm is that some suckers investors are giving the miners 2.5 million dollars every day for some nicely numbered packets of nothing. Not counting what they are giving to other former suckers early investors who are finally unloading their bitcoins for profit.

If you are one of those shrewd investors, the miners said to say "thanks", and promised to send you a postcard of their villas in Monaco, if and when they will remember you.
