Hillary Rodham ClintonTrump tweet using Star of David prompts backlash Warren hones finance agenda amid VP talk Clinton to attack Trump's business record in Atlantic City MORE for “making history” for being “corrupt" prompted immediate backlash for the use of a six-pointed star.
The star is superimposed over an image of $100 bills and an image of Clinton often used by her campaign that reads “History made.”

Two hours after the initial post, Trump tweeted a different version of the same image, this time with a circle under the words "Most Corrupt Candidate Ever!" instead of the star. The original tweet had not been deleted. He also added both an "#ImWithYou" and "#AmericaFirst" hashtags to the second tweet.
The image drew immediate backlash on Twitter. Josh Schwerin, a communications staffer for Clinton's campaign, asked why a Star of David was used on the image.

Several anti-Trump Republican analysts and staffers have responded to the post, including Ron Nehring, a former spokesman for Ted CruzTed CruzTrump tweet using Star of David prompts backlash Trump meets with Gov. Mike Pence amid VP speculation The Hill's 12:30 Report MORE' presidential campaign, and GOP strategist Patrick Ruffini, who called the tweet "anti-Semitic."
