Well, according to RN, Dortmund's most reliable newspaper, we paid around €42m for him and he will sign a four year contract worth around £10m a year.

But British press said it's around £26m (which I assumed they get their information directly from United).

Bild and Kicker also said the same thing. €42m (~£36m).

Remember that Ibra did cost us money: Agent comission and signing bonus. And knowing Raiola we surely had to pay a fair amount of money, sadly but that's how it works.

Absolutely, but I still keep seeing people saying that bringing Ibra didn't cost us a single penny, which is not completely true.

For example it is known that Benfica had to pay around 5M€ to bring Taarabt who was a free agent. And he didn't played one single minute the last season in Portugal. His agent is Kia Joorabchian...

Yeah but we never reference agent fees with normal transfers so why do it for a free transfer?

I'd imagine the agent fees, as well as signing bonuses, are no where near as much for a normal transfer. This case, on the other hand, is Zlatan and Raiola...I'm sure the agent fees and signing bonus were astronomical in comparison, simply because United didn't have to pay anything else for a player like Zlatan. Wouldn't be surprised if after agent fees and signing bonus United actually spent more like €20m. I'm sure there will be a leak somewhere down the line as to how much he really cost us.

Not complaining at all, btw. I'm excited for next season!
