Cleveland Chef Bans Trump From His Restaurants During RNC
One Cleveland restauranteur has stated that presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump is not welcome to eat at any of his locations when he comes to town for his coronation in July.
“There is not a chance I let him into any of my restaurants,” Michael Symon said, calling into The Ken Carman Show with Anthony Lima, guest hosted by Matt Dery.
“This is not a Democrat or Republican thing,” Symon said, noting that he had encountered Trump before. “He just creeps me out.”
Symon is an award-winning chef, author, and a luminary in the Cleveland food world, whose restaurants in the area include Lola, Lolita, and Mabel’s BBQ. He clarified on Twitter that “this isn’t about politics or communities,” rather “this is about a person” and that he “never stated political beliefs..trump just isnt a good guy..love kasich.”
