A High Fashion Face Mask With The Utmost Utility For The Bold.
About this project
A first of its kind, our uniquely designed face masks offer versatility. The ability to stand alone or to be used to turn your choice of air filtering personal protection into a fashion statement.
Our unique concept satisfies different reasons for use with a common desire in min: Passion for Fashion.
Meaningful utility enabling function that is personal and dynamic.
Façade Urbane is a project that was inspired by the striking designs conceptualized by Stacie Vos, a graduate student from The University of Toronto.
Once embarking on the journey to discover what is currently available in the market, we discovered that most face masks were alike. We believe now is the time for something dramatically different when it comes to the design of a face mask as we currently know them. That is when we decided to bring an array of high fashion face masks with a unique design unlike any other, that will match each personality’s style.
We wanted to bring something to market that is not only versatile but also meaningful.
Façade Urbane was born not simply to introduce a product, but also become a movement. We aim to topple perspectives and draw attention to the unique requirements of urban life. Making a bold statement through high fashion.
Although not everybody is afflicted by the same compulsion to wear a face mask, we wanted to utilize fashion to raise awareness to the individual necessities and to get onlookers thinking.

ABOUT ME
Hello! | Salut! | Hola! | Ciao! | Hallo! |,
My name is Tony Luna. I am a 23 year old visionary entrepreneur from Toronto, Canada. After working from a very young age (15 years old) and immersing myself into the Toronto fashion industry and vibrant social circles by the age of 19, I decided to take control of my life and be my own boss.
After my first successful failure and intense learning through various experiences, I am ready to bring value to the world. My interests are in sustainable business, fashion, technology, renewable energy, and space travel. I aim to bring something great to the table in all of these categories and becoming an influential entrepreneur so that I can expand my reach and overall impact.
Growing up I always found it inherently fascinating to find solutions to challenges. I always questioned the way things were currently done and how they could be enhanced or changed entirely to provide a better alternative. I find joy in finding meaningful solutions. As a young entrepreneur, I make it my mission to create products and services that add value to people. I take a strong stance against wasting people’s precious time or create material waste that negatively contributes to our global overconsumption problem.
Façade Urbane is my first attempt at an inherently impactful venture and I am immensely committed to it. I am passionate about people and helping others and I find that this project will enable me to satisfy my innate values. That is why I have partnered with some of the greatest talent in Toronto to help me make this vision a reality.
At my young age, I have established and nurtured a vast network of business professionals with reputable acumen across different walks of life. I value building strong bonds that last a lifetime with trust and loyalty at the core. This is why I am confident that I will be able to bring this project live and expand its reach on a global scale.
Born in Mexico City, I can relate to the necessities of a dense population in a tightly packed city. Pollution is one of the challenges that resonates in my mind from my early childhood and that is why I take it very personally and very serious. My mom, an entrepreneur as well, brought me to Toronto when I was 7 years old because she planned for a better quality of life for me.
I believe that everybody has the right to a better quality of life and this is why I need your help in making this project a Kickstarter success and a large influencer on a global scale.
I value being different and approaching issues from unique angles. My angle for this project is Fashion.
Please help my team and I bring this project to reality by shedding a striking spotlight through bold fashion statements!
Risks and challenges
Given our scarce financial resources, our current manufacturing capabilities are limited. Thus, with your help we will be able to invest heavily in our human capital and accelerate our production processes so that we can achieve a quick fulfillment turnaround.
We intend to keep operations from design to manufaturing in Canada because we believe in fostering local talent by collaborating with promising talent that is under way to be recognized or that has already established roots in the Canadian fashion industry.
Labour for experienced talent in Canada is quite costly and this is a challenge in and of itself for us financially. This means that we will have to integrate a mix of experienced talent and students looking for internships in fashion. Altogether, we will be staying true to our mission to collaborate locally.
Currently, it takes 4.5hrs to create one of the masks with origami tessellations. This is both a challenge and a risk with fulfillment. Over the past several weeks and over the duration of our campaign, we are taking steps to cut this time and streamline our production process. Working with local talent will help us meet demand for these particular masks.
Our mask concept is currently in the prototyping stages. This means that our first release will be a minimum viable product that enables us to test appeal for these designs and ultimately fund our first production line. Although we are committed to delivering a high quality product that incorporates premium materials, the risk of delivering a product with the least amount of features possible is that it may not be entirely perfect. This is one of our biggest challenges.
Our team will be working day and night to ensure we keep our backers happy. No matter what.
Join us on the quest to build a strong community that is passionate about fashion as well as thinking globally and acting locally.
