So he got into Kuthara's account, and traded off some shit to other players, what you gonna do about that?

I understand how you feel Strilan he has done the same to me, released my address, and even photos of me. We know this is a serious issue and we are taking steps to take care of the problem, but it takes time I wish I had a button that would fix it instantly, but it's not possible I just advise everyone to make your password harder , and change them more often. As far as goon I have agreed to restore the account if Sebastian can when he returns from vacation. We are not trying to discount this or hide it we know everyone is aware of it. I asked the mods to leave this thread so we can discuss anyone's concerns as best we can. This is not a easy issue to deal with cause we can't ban people from the internet.

As we have said before, banking account information is not stored by us. I have no idea how he was able to get that unless you used the same password. Which we have stated he has gotten due to a database breech before.

 

What I am interested to know is if SV knew whose accounts were compromise. If you knew, why aren't your customers being notified?

That's the thing. He tried to login, it failed, cuz wrong password. Then the account got locked.

They sent me an e-mail with the IP, location, everything, of the user that tried to login, and I had to call them to unlock it.

Even though he failed to login.......

How he know the last 4 digits of my account? THAT's what I wanna know.

They were notified, by an announcement on the forums. IDK if there was an e-mail, every email from SV / the forums gets sent to my spam folder.

 

I also want to remind everyone that we do not hold any bank information what so ever.
We use global collect, same provider blizzard and many other companies uses to handle payment information. This is the exact reason why, we want to make sure all vital information is stored in a proper way so customers can be confident in paying for our services.
We do not have your forum/game passwords either for security reasons.
It is vital to use proper passwords and do not share email/passwords on different media/forums as if one is breached then others may be as well.
A proper password is looking something like djd38D8f#F54f as a good reminder on what to use. Also do not click any links or emails asking for restoring passwords etc if you haven't requested so.

We take all actions towards our servers and customers and is working to make sure it stops and that the crimes done does not go unnoticed. We are also looking into options to add more security options for customers accounts.

We are working hard on this, and im sure we will have a good solution soon enough.

 

I would Imagine you use the same email for the account, anyway he is just using the little information he did get from the DB and is using to to find out/guess more of your accounts.

 

So if you dont have our bank information, but a breech in your database releases all of our other PII, then we still have a problem.

He gets my email and starts posting asking ACTUAL FUCKING HACKERS to hack the account. He got a DB dump, used an exploit in SV's mortalonline.com webpage to get access to the DB, dumped it, and started doing dumb shit.

Literally, that's ALL he can do.

He's a worthless piece of no-talent shit that couldn't hack an IP to save his fucking ass. I bet you he couldn't even use C# to make a proper fucking program to do what he needs to get done - done.

This is why I wrote the post above as a reminder and info about how to make your account safer. There is a reason only specific accounts been breached.

 

Nah, Henrik is right. If u used the same PW on your forum account on anywhere else, THAT's how it's getting breached.

He literally can't find out anything else any other way.

He utilized an exploit to gain access, but @Henrik Nystrom if you're saying that you don't save our username / pw's on the forums, i don't buy that.

Remember, this little shit was changing stuff around IN GAME as well by making edits on the server, so.... You had that stored somewhere.

 

The forum application standards we use store it or you wouldn't be able to login to the forums yes, but we do not access those for security reasons.

Now? Yeah you guys probably changed that around once your identified the security lapse. But THEN... BEFORE... How did he get into our stuff, and change information on the SERVER (help menu, etc) if not by way of being able to utilize the main site exploit to access the DB.

 

Thats exactly it, this is still the fallout from the original breach. All the addresses and PII that was collected.

 

Well, I do not know all details, but if someone got all information, then Im sure both mine and Sebs etc accounts would be the first one to have fun with right.
We are collecting all logs and have a lot of info to go through with a specialist team that works with this. We will have no rest until justice is made.
And as I mentioned we are of course looking in adding more options to secure customers accounts.

 

Last question I have.

He's been selling other player's information. He's also been trading stuff to other players in return for money (materials etc).

What's going to be done about that?
