I don't know if this is a good thing or not, and I'm looking for advice, too. Ever since it as little I wanted to become a police officer. I went and tried out for it, passed the written exams, failed the physical test due to the flu (wasn't able to reschedule for another date). I have a strong desire to want to help people and become law enforcement, or military, but I realize it's a very blue pilled, white Knight environment. Laws are obviously geared towards women, and I know if I became an LEO that I would have no choice but to follow and enforce those laws, regardless if I agree with them. The thing is, I don't know what I want to do, now. Part of me still wants to pursue law enforcement, but I have doubts in my mind now from failing the physical, and how my agency acts, and another part of me just wants a decent 9-5 job that let's me bank my money and have flexibility to do what I want to do, buy the things I want(Rickenbacker 4003, dodge challenger r/t scat pack, storm trooper replica suit and a Batman one because why not?) and be able to love comfortably. I reside in western Canada, but moved around a lot growing up, so I don't really have ties to any specific part of the country or community.
What would you guys recommend for a suitable, decent career that let's me be able to save money and enjoy my free time? (I'm thinking carpentry, roofing, construction, but I'd have to go to trades school for that. I have an opportunity to work for a warehouse company for alcohol distribution, and though about working towards my class 1 with airbrakes to drive truck for the city.)
What about law enforcement? Do you think it would be a good career choice? If not, how do you deal with the desire to become "something more" than just a regular Joe?
Edit : I broke my leg when I was 6, serial fracture from my knee down to my ankle. Extended running hurts my leg, sometimes for a day or two after. I realize law enforcement and military involves a lot of running. Maybe I'm stupid, but if I could fix the problem I would. Got new shoes, I can do wind sprints, but running more than 1km causes pain. Any ideas on how to fix or eliminate it?
