Most 15-year-olds are still developing. It's absurd to say that someone who's been ovulating for about 3 years - at best - is "sexually mature."

I'm an adult you dipshit, that's what we're talking about. This isn't about kids having sex with each other, it's about adults fucking 15 year olds, and the dipshit rationalizations people go through to justify fucking children.
And, what about you? You really want to bang a 15-year-old? Have you ever actually seen teenagers? It also doesn't change the fact that children view adults as figures of authority rather than equals, so that whole element of power plays into it. Not necessarily. Depends on the anatomy of the individual. You are making a sweeping generalization with 0% objective value.
Entering puberty isn't the same as being post pubescent.
Some girls enter puberty at 8 years old and are fully developed by the time they are 14. Some girls don't enter puberty until 16 and aren't fully developed until they hit 25-30. Another generalization when the truth is again, it depends on the anatomy of the individual whether or not they are fully "developed" at the age of 16 (or 18 in some states).
It also doesn't change the fact that children view adults as figures of authority rather than equals, so that whole element of power plays into it.
This has nothing to do with whether or not a 15 year old girl is sexually mature or able to decide who she wants to sleep with. Why are you trying to decide who young women should be able to sleep with? That is very patriarchal policing of young women's sexuality. How do you know every single man over 18 who has sexual feelings for a young woman under 18 has the intent to manipulate or harm her, or that this is even the rule? How do you know every single young woman under 18 who chooses to sleep with a male over the age of 18 is being coerced and is not making the choice of her own volition? Provide evidence, please.

I'm sorry. I cannot handle this. You don't give a shit about my feelings? Well here's a fun fact, I don't particularly care. A quick google will get you pages of things that back up my points about teenage pregnancy being more dangerous on average, and about average ages of starting and ending puberty in women. But seriously, fuck you. I am a victim of sexual assault. I was harassed and assaulted when I was sixteen, and whether it was intended or not, the fact that it was an adult that was the assailant made it that much harder to do anything, because adults have more power than children. I never said a teenager or adult would necessarily think about it as having anything to do with power, but it cannot happen without that being an aspect, whether it is consciously addressed is another issue entirely. The fact that you are so eager to stand up for someone who has literally admitted to wanting to commit statutory rape just makes me feel sick to my stomach.

    In formal logic, it is a fallacy. A false premise can ruin an entire argument and get you really bad grades so make sure not to do it on your mid term, even if you think you totes got the question right :(
    Though it may have other premises that are true, an ad hominem attack is poisonous to a formal debate and a conversation stopper which proves the attacker has no more value to add to the discussion. This is because in informal verbal (or written) debates, an insult still just means you have nothing valuable to say, or desire to have any kind of productive discussion, or are too easily controlled by anger, or feel yourself superior to others to the point where you can easily dismiss them and their experiences.

      The average menarche in the mid 1800s was 15 years old. It has been steadily declining ever since, the reasons are unknown but many people agree that it has to do with hormones in our food.
      The average is going down steadily and is now about 12.5, as you will see from that link. SOME girls get theirs as early as 8 and 9 now, and there have been girls as young as 5 or 6. With a certain disorder you can actually achieve menarche in infancy.
      Menarche is in no way whatsoever a good indicator of sexual maturity. It is merely the largest mile marker on the continuum of puberty.

                  If you actually DO get in trouble, here are a couple of legal resources that can help you. This type of thing is very, very, very hard to prosecute, but you can still get in trouble if you're not careful;
