As with fiat currency, bitcoin has no intrinsic value. The government hasn't done anything to hurt its citizens buying power. Either way, you shouldn't keep means of payment free as cash, you should keep your means of payment in valuable assets such as stocks and real estate. In the long term, they are better than the government in protecting buying power.

Bitcoin is not an asset. If you plan to hold it for the long term it's ok, but don't deny that you're speculating on future appreciation of bitcoin. You're a speculator, just like foreign exchange traders.

And you are speculating that your assets will retain their value and eventually generate profit. You are speculating that your assets are not overvalued. You are speculating that your assets are not going to be confiscated. You're a speculator just like us.

Make no mistake - saving is good: it rises value of the units of currency (purchasing power of others grows when I am saving), and most importantly: it makes me less dependent on others - in the cases of shit hitting the fan I am able to buy things I need for the repairs, in cases of great opportunities I do not need to take loans so I can exploit those (i.e. I am more self sufficient, I do not need other 3rd parties to provide money lending services to me. Of course they will say all kinds of bullshit to avert people from this healthy behavior. I say: FUCK OFF!).

Yes, everyone who invests is a speculator.

In the long term, valuation metrics are useless.

As I said and history shows, governments do their best to avoid inflation. Printing money is not a reliable money policy and even my dog knows that.

The more they inflate the smaller the value of their debts. Ones who really profit are the top/central bankers - they get loaning business, they have money for free (they just create it out of nothing & give it as loans to people), they can buy anybody.

Printing money is not a reliable money policy and even my dog knows that.

Interesting - 95 % of sheeple know that it is the best way how to go forward (how to boost the economy). /s
