Portland 内の drone-man によるリンク /r/portland mods require a case number if you mention a crime in a post

I've been around here for a while. I get the whole "need a case number" thing for a lot of the stuff, I don't think it is necessary for the post in question. If I posted a video from my GoPro of someone jaywalking in front of me on my bike, you wouldn't require a case number. Or every post of illegal "rooms for rent" ads never have case numbers. I think the line should be drawn if the post is asking for assistance in solving a crime or asks for contribution to the police trying to solve a crime.

The main issue we see here is going to be code compliance for all of the SR-37423.24 wiring that the city says needs to have A/N/M default switches going through to the main breaker. Back in the 60's, most of the homes around this area were built with only A/N wiring which was fine at the time but as the city grew and wiring technology changed, we found ourselves in a weird predicament - change to the new regulatory method of doing things or keep our current system, which we felt suited the needs fine for the PNW. As you can see from this graphic, the A/N/M wiring looks slightly different near the gutlarean chamber: https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5295/5446795860_0d2151f781_b.jpg

After that, the biggest issue I can see would be how the R8, R9, and Z3 zones would accommodate this type of dwelling. The boxcar type picture shown here is commonly constructed with welded K-joints at the corner which puts an excessive amount of pressure on the ground surface that it sits on. This typically wouldn't be a problem, but many of the Portland neighborhoods have a low enough water table that if the metal sides start to excrete a large amount of copper sediment, then you could run into issues with that affecting the flow of your plumbing, specifically the plumbing that may run under your garage. For myself, I like to have a hose outlet on the side of my garage in case I want to wash my car, water my plants, etc. All of those things could instantly become compromised if the K-joint started to settle. Once it settles, it will often end up looking somewhat like this: https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5524/12776288625_6d07b35e2a_z.jpg

Other than that, these things would be alright except for heating and cooling them would be sort of tricky. Your standard size HVAC package would have to run at 893 volts instead of the 244 volts that you see in trailers, RVs, mobile homes, etc. There is a converter kit that you can get which will increase the voltage as it passes through the transponders, but then we get into the whole issue of there being a potential fire code breach. If the transponder can't handle the excess load put through it, you may have saspariling of the main breaker and we all know what can happen from there. If I were going to live in one of these, I would hire a contractor to attach the meter mast a little over 13 feet to the side so that if we ever had an issue with the main breaker, I could swap out the transponder for a free-moving circuit dongle and then I could still power all of the HVAC things in my unit without fear of the metal walls becoming conductors of the voltage and causing a short in the system. Portland goes back and forth on code for this depending on what zone you're in, and I'm not sure how I could predict the way in which the city will view these dwellings. For further reading, I would direct you to the city's zone map which shows areas of future zone changing and how your neighborhood could be perfect, or horrible for these new dwellings. If he's shooting at you, he's a bad guy. If he's shooting at some trying to shoot you, he's a good guy. You really will need to wait until the first shot is fired to know for sure.

There's gotta be a creative way to do something annoying enough to get them to leave without encouraging them to burn your house down. Put a speaker outside facing them with a single annoying song on repeat 24/7? Get a super strong spotlight from Costco and set it up to shine right on their tent at night? Borrow a few dogs or bee boxes?
