Look at OP's post history. He's the prime shitposter of this sub.

The fact that he has a repost complaining about the SimCity beta from hours ago makes me think it's a bot.

You might be onto something. His posting pattern as of late seems real sketchy.

TLDR- THE DEVS AKNOWLEDGED THE FAULTS OF THE GAME, STOP UPVOTING THESE CIRCLEJERKING KARMA WHORES. NO YOU ARE NOT THE ONLY ONE TO FEEL THAT WAY AND IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS BY NOW.

Every time I see a Fallout 4 complaint it seems to always come from him. The devs themselves acknowledged the faults so its pointless to continue.... "am I the only one?" yup only person ever to think that, I know you frequent this sub but yup definitely the only person on earth to feel that way about the game....It baffles me why people want internet points so badly, its not even legitimate complaints and constructive criticism anymore just karma whoring. I always thought the end goal was to get the devs to acknowledge it and since they have this place still hasn't changed....

First of all, your username? I'm honored. Thank you.

Secondly, I have a strong feeling that these guys never played the game themselves for very long, otherwise they would have done away with the infinite Preston and Brotherhood and Railroad quests. Seemed to be them mailing it in big time.

The infinite radiant quests were a huge draw to Skyrim, so it isn't even remotely surprising to see it continue in Fallout. I think the problem with the system in Fallout is that it almost feels like they are forced on you (the Preston ones definitely are). In Skyrim you had to actually ask for them, which seems like a much better system to me.

Totally agree. I really enjoy having the option of being able to do unlimited missions of a certain type, but at the same time Preston is fucking nightmare material.

Yeah, it would be much better if he waited for you to ask. Or maybe have two options when he brings you something. Be able to say "I'll take care of it" OR "Send some soldiers to take care of it". I'm the dang general, I shouldn't have to do everything.

agreed. takes a lot to make me laugh, but this did have me in brief stitches http://i.imgur.com/zFC1t3j.jpg

A notice board at your main town would be nice something you could build that listed all the repeatable quests from all the factions. Also you don't have to complete them you can just take them and then just not track them it's not like more than one piles up. Also I would like to option to lock NPCs up so I don't have to deal with their bullshit, I'm lookin at you Marcy.

It wasn't even the 3rd best game in its release year.

Wow, it's the first time I've ever heard this complaint about Fallout 4, that's pretty original!

Dark souls 3 was the best game iv played all year and still am playing. And new vegas was the best fallout. Bloodborne was the best souls.

Did you play bloodborne as your first?people say the first souls game you play wil be your favorite

My first and favorite Souls was the first Dark Souls. DS2, DS3, and Bloodborne I didn't enjoy nearly as much. Not really sure why that is though.

Same here, for me its the world design in dark souls was top notch, also no fast travelling. Bloodborne was cool but was a bit linear, dark souls 2... well you know... and dark souls 3 just pandered way too much. Still looking forward to trying out demons souls

I played ds2 first but bloodborne is my favorite. Ds3 is amazing but I felt it was a bit easier than its predecessors.

[–]Xyruk 0

Played DS1 first, then DS 2 and then Bloodborne. Bloodborne is my favorite.

Somebody put it in words!

I don't know how to feel about this, since it's the only Fallout I've played.

While my knee-jerk reaction is to say play them all, I'd say you need to play either New Vegas or Fallout 2 to understand what's wrong with 4.

Basic breakdown:

Fallout 1: Best story and villain (The Master is terrifying)

Fallout 2: Best roleplaying and adult themes (If you play a girl you can solve 90% of your problems with sex and the other 10% with lesbian sex)

Fallout 3: Best gameplay (First one made by Bethesda, really solid game with good DLC)

Fallout New Vegas: Best overall, best open-world freedom (Character customization is better, choices are massive, you can literally kill anyone without any of the "This character is plot required so he's invincible" bullshit of Skyrim or even the "You just made it impossible to beat the game haha fuck you" of Morrowind. It's frankly shameful that the way NPCs are killable in this game didn't become the gold standard for open world. Old World Blues is probably also the best DLC of any game ever)

Fallout 4: Best graphics, best base building, best power armor.

So if you want to build shit and look cool in power armor, Fo4 is still a great game. It just gets old a lot faster than the other games, whose gameplay value increased as you progressed the story instead of getting more flat.

I'm praying for another Obsidian/Bethesda Fallout game without the fucking over Obsidian part. New Vegas was the Fallout I'd been waiting for since FO2

Fallout 3: Best gameplay

In what way?

Yeah, I don't get where he says that, either. New Vegas was basically FO3, but refined. You got specialized attack options for having lots of ranks in melee and unarmed, and I heard something about iron sights. Jury Rigging was a great way to cut some of the harshness of weapon repairs, which frankly I prefer to crafting. (More emphasis on finding something and cherishing it, vs a hodgepodge collectathon quest with an ingredients list on another monitor...)

Also, people've said nice things about the gunplay in FO4? I don't know, I just found a laser sniper rifle to kill things I didn't want to take the time to run up and punch.

Mostly as proof-of-concept in transferring over the SPECIAL system to a Bethesda open world 3rd/1st person model (rather than almost scrapping it entirely as with fo4)

It's gameplay as compared to New Vegas is a legitimate point of debate, I'll admit, as NV arguably improved on the model, but I did find the actual use of skills and combat mechanics to be a bit smoother in 3 than NV, which had other (admittedly better) priorities.

Old World Blues is probably also the best DLC of any game ever

The Shivering Isles would like to have a talk with you.

Shivering Isles was great, and Bethesda era Fallout itself owes a debt to it for pioneering their drug and addictions system. But yes, I'd even put OWB above Shivering Isles for raw enjoyment (if I'm ranking based on what they contributed to future games, it's unfair to put Oblivion against anything made in this decade I think)

A lot of that is probably how much I loved the cornball sci fi SCIENCE! Fallout has been slowly eschewing over the years. It was all of that and a Giant Robotic Scorpion, with Venture Bros and Futurama references for good measure.

So your saying i should play fallout 2

If you want to play what is possibly the only side quest where you take up a career as a porn star, then yes.

(That's a yes)

People say the same about Skyrim. Brilliant game but many Morrowind fans complain it's the worst in the TES series.

Worst Fallout game? Maybe. Best game this year? Not a chance.

I really liked building communities in it, but I liked building my farm in Stardew Valley even more.

God stardew valley is amazing. Too bad I got the game like 2 weeks before ds3 came out, once I got ds3 I stopped playing stardew valley. I'll feel like I'd need to restart stardew valley if I start playing it again.

Lower graphics than witcher 3, but fps dropped as fuck at low settings

BAD OPTIMIZATION, this is what i hate about FO4

I7 4700HQ 2.6ghz 8GB RAM GTX 950M 4GB

Running the game on a laptop graphics card. Can't complain about framerate.

[–]Vyvyd -1

Hur dur laptops cant run any games hur dur. I'm so sick of this incredibly dumb stereotype. A 950M is sufficient to run most games at low settings on a decent resolution.

Apparently not if your getting shit fps in FO4 on low settings. Hur Dur.

[–]Vyvyd 0

Fair enough, however

Running the game on a laptop graphics card

The way you're saying that implies that cards like 970M or even 980M can't run it, which certainly isn't the case.

I run it on a 4690k and an R9 290 and I can't hold 60 fps on low so I dunno man it's a pretty valid complaint

[–]john_wayne_rocks 1ポイント2ポイント  (0子コメント)

quality shitpost and witcher 3 >>> fallout 4

No because TW3 came out the same year

Must not have played the Witcher 3 then...

Best one I never finished.

My brain broke wasn't this released last September or are we doing Award Ceremony rules now

Can't be the best game of the year since it came out the same year as The Witcher 3, which is easily one of the best games ever made.

Lmao no. In 2015, Bloodborne and The Witcher 3 >> FO4. In this year you have Dark Souls 3, Uncharted 4, and Overwatch, with games like FFXV and Last Guardian on the way. No way FO4 is best either this year or last year. 2014 sure.

Fallout is like pizza. Even when it's bad, it's good

Not really. Quests were uninspired, graphics were terrible and the whole game was utterly boring.

The control scheme on PC was horrible and I haven't played for longer than 10h.

Witcher 3 or XCOM 2 were much better.

[–]Maceor 0

overwatch, DOOM, XCOM 2 just to name a few...

Doom and Overwatch are 2016 though :D

[–]Maceor 0

well the picture sais: Best game ive played all year

Definitely the best I've played this year. Wish I'd played the other FO games but I never did and now I'm scared of the aged graphics (I am a real graphics nazi!) - are there any old FO games that look good still?

OP, does your schedule consist entirely of jacking off CDPR and bashing Fallout 4? Cause it seems that is all you do.
