This makes sense, but understand that the zillion upvotes I got for those comments didn't seem to indicate that I was ruining the sub for others. I WAS aware that OP-mod here didn't love the comments, but I didn't get downvoted or banned. When I see people politely refuting alt-reichers in long comment chains in this sub, a sub that's stated purpose is to mock, it ruins the sub for me. And I'm not the only person who doesn't appreciate Valuable Discussion and thinks it makes matters worse. But I don't call it out because I acknowledge that I'm not the only kind of poster here.

Yes, you've described what I'd want from my Option 2. But still, I'd prefer a sub where the alt-reich bs is laughed at and mocked and reactionaries aren't even allowed to ask for the abuse they deserve. I don't really enjoy beating up on them, I just want to deny them their trolling fun if they're going to be welcomed. But I'd prefer not to encounter them at all.

I'm looking for a place where replying with something other than "DAE think they lack awareness?", "My bingo card is full," and "where do I sign up for my SJW checks?" isn't discouraged. Great points, and some good suggestions. Yeah, most of the subs I mentioned (cb, cb2, booc, negareddit, AHS) don't tolerate blatant bigotry, but if you're a polite nazi sea lion, you can have fun all day every day there, and civility toward you will usually be enforced. It's almost like giving young neo-nazis practice in crafting positive PR for their garbage. They even let them test the material and acceptability limits. I'm very much against this.

Thanks! Except for /badhistory, I think those other subs come with some ideology-specific stuff that may not be what I'm looking for. I'm looking for something pretty generic, like this sub, but without tone and comment policing to protect the "dignity" of bad-faith neo-nazi and other assorted bigot participants when replying. Ideally, since I specified "progressive-ish" it wouldn't have a mod team that allows hate-sub mods on the team. If I haven't emphasized it enough already, I strongly believe there is zero actual value in roddit-brand Valuable Discussion.

I've never referenced chicken tendies as it's an insult that isn't funny to me. I don't bitch about it, or call people out for using it, but I don't use it. As far as I know, I was the first to use "pedo-nazi groomer." I'm not proud of that, but it's not part of any circlejerk. It waaaaaas original. ;)

Don't make the mistake of thinking my comments were attempts to entertain you or provide you with novelty. They bored me too. But I didn't feel like writing new material for each of the numerous alt-reich sea lions who are invited to participate here. My SOLE intent was to prevent their trolling from being fun for them, and hopefully send them on their way.

I'm only here to counter the reactionary movement by any reddit means possible, not to chat about my kitties and beverage choices, or to evangelize my views on whatever political systems I just learned about last semester. I guess I can't compartmentalize things well enough to cheerily discuss my entertainment choices in one partitioned section of the site while the defaults are crawling with bigots. What kind of personality do you think you're projecting? Beyond terse whiskey-commenting and a dislike for gulag joaks, I've got nothing for you. That's not necessarily a bad thing, in MY opinion anyway; I don't demand that you share here more than you want to or call you names or witch-hunt you if you don't!

You should just limit comments to a couple of stale ones that maintain your subjective idea of what entertains you alone. That way your sub's high standards of Valuable Discussion can be maintained with these good-faith reactionary invitees, and the stuff you subjectively dislike won't continue to receive upvotes. These trite and moldy ol' chestnuts can ensure that we don't color outside of any circlejerk lines here:

There's that comment-lawyering I saw coming. When I call a 16yo loli-defender a pedo, they do the same thing. "How can I be a kid AND a pedo??1!!?" A regular dictionary can supply you with the definition for "metaphor," and urbandictionary.com can give you a working definition of the online term "circlejerk" (hint: it involves no actual physical contact). And to clarify: I don't really want his mother to literally apply ointment to his chapped ass. "Chapped ass" is a metaphor for being angry about something. It was just some harmless fun, and you're the only one who seems not to have gotten it. Hope this comment helps!
