Shadows from Atlantis

Do not get put off by the title. This very compelling video by researcher Christopher Webster van Tonder uses a very moderate tone when talking about the subject, no stupid ‘nazi’ epithets here. As I am also a photography enthusiast myself I find the video fascinating. Themes include the Oera Linda book, the Ahnenerbe, Ariosophy, Theosophy, Germanism, Paganism, positive eugenics, The Myth of the Twentieth Century, the Polar homeland, ancient civilizations, and of course, Atlantis. The author in his own words:

The presentation explains the journey that led me from an obscure National Socialist wartime publication to a forgotten archive of photographs in Germany. In it I discuss how the photographs were part of a quest by theorists, researchers and political figures to show the ‘Germanic’ peasant as a pagan, earth-based ‘volk’, who were the inheritors of the bloodline of a Nordic Atlantis.
