It just looks like a tan and/or Photoshop to me and she is obviously paying homage to another culture (unless this is Indonesian, I have no idea). I don't think it's blackface but I'll bet good money other people will and will give you lengthy explanations of why, and then you can draw your own conclusions.

On a side note I think we need a new sub like /r/rpdrisitracist for posts like these because they come around a lot ... like the girl a few days ago who examined how Ru eating a cookie may have exposed the racist agenda of the show. Lol.

Not disagreeing with your thoughts but could something photoshopped still be blackface? Especially in this time of age? Like i remember seeing ads of "black women" but they were just white women that were then photoshopped...guess it was a hassle to just hire a real black woman.

However, that last point LOL someone was really claiming that?

Edit: blackface is not just painting some as black but its ALSO applying insulting stereotypes onto them...right? I guess this wouldnt be blackface if thats the case? Not sure...blackface might just be painting themselves as black tho...

    Is Raja Hindu? Cause South Asian doesn't automatically mean Hindu, by any stretch of the imagination.

    Yeah but from what I've read Raja grew up in Bali where the people there are predominantly Hindus and to me those looks are specifically Bali-Hindu inspired. (Also I'm an Indonesian Hindu so I can attest that /that's/ not appropriation, and it's also why I love Raja so very much)

    If she isnt trying to impersonate a black person, then it isnt. If she is yes.

    EDIT- What I mean by this is basically, she may have just darkened her skin, this does not equal blackface, blackface is when you are impersonating a person of colour, not just darkening your skin.
