I think part of the reason for that is age, as well as rose-tinted nostalgia goggles. Heck I love Dragonball more than OPM, but I haven't even watched super, and I'm up to date in OPM. Just because somethings more loved by the majority doesn't necessarily mean it's better. The majority of Germans in Nazi germany loved Hitler, doesn't mean that was a brilliant choice. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying OPM IS better, just playing devils advocate.
