Google is your friend.

That being said, Fallout 4 is open world, no online (although if you want mods you'll need internet), the game does not end when you complete the story.

Basic run down of the story, you get frozen in a nuclear sheltet called a vault. Nuclear war breaks out and the world is destroyed. You wake up some time later and have to survive in the wasteland.

There's no online, and yes you can keep dicking around after the story, hell, you don't even have to do the story

  1. It's a post apocalyptic 70s themed game where if we had the Jetsons technology.

  2. Yes, open world.

  3. No, no online at all in the slightest. 100% SP.

  4. No, there's a lot more to do besides just the campaign, there's side quests. Game doesn't end when you finish main story.

  5. You can keep doing side quests as said and explore and expand your character.

Fallout 3 is where it starts being open world, then Fallout: New Vegas. Fallouts before that are top-down. Fallout 4 is kinda different story, all quests suck, and NPCs are lame billboards. Combat system is a bit improved over FO3 and NV. I'd honestly say NV is the most fun one of the Fallouts, if not, then Fallout 3.

Don't listen to the guy above us. He's one of those bitter guys on this subreddit that bashes FO4 as "not an RPG". There are literally hundreds of quests, many unique ones ( every game has fetch and kill quests so I'm not really including those), and the gameplay and RPG mechanics (skill tree, combat, and the fact that you're playing the role of the Sole Survivor) are top notch!

Fallout 4 is open world.

There is no online.

After the campaign, you continue running around the world doing exactly what you were doing before it.

The game suffers one of the worst cases of ludonarrative dissonance I've come across. I won't spoil anything.

The gameplay is functional. It's OK.

The character customisation and RPG elements are absolute wank. Don't go into it expecting anything good at all from that. Those were bad enough to ruin the game for me. I'd been a fan of every Fallout game until then.

haha thank you, are you a last of us fan?

No, the gameplay in that was my main obstacle. The combat and stealth just weren't satisfying enough to keep me hooked.
