Why does a reasonable, scientific explanation need to "go away"? Does it disturb you that much to know that your memory isn't perfect?

It disturbs me to know that a large majority of people remember something clearly one way, and now it is different. What about staring a febreeze bottle one week and then it says febreze next week? faulty memory? I agree with the statement, "they havent experienced a serious enough ME yet to understand what's going on" When(Hopefully a when not an IF) you do, you will realize its more than just "oops i forgot".

Your example supports the "faulty memory" theory, as "breeze" by itself is a word.

Without an official diagnosis, your theory is just that: a theory. I thought Reddit wasn't supposed to diagnose people?

Wrong comment?

No. You're not qualified to diagnose someone with memory problems. You're free to theorize all you want (we all are), but just painting everyone with the same brush is dangerous.

Where did I diagnose someone?

Telling people they have mental problems (memory) is a diagnosis.
