About this project
The Comic Book Store
We started life back at the start of 2010 with an online presence, selling Games Workshop products via our website. Now, after being purely online, we're looking to branch out into an actual shop, selling not only comics and scifi collectables, but also Games Workshop goods and several other brands who are large in the tabletop wargaming market.
What We Want To Do
With your funding, we will be able to secure premises to open a shop, purchase stock and also fit out the shop to make it an exciting and engaging environment for the customers. We not only want to have a place gamers can come and buy their models, books and paints, but also somewhere they can come and build their new models, paint them and battle with them. We would set up painting areas and gaming tables so customers would have access to the the full range of tools required to help them achieve their tabletop victories.
Your funding would also be used to help advertise The Comic Book Store in local newspapers and other outlets, as well as online advertising.

The Products
Games Workshop have a wide range of miniatures and accessories, ranging from dice and paintbrushes, up to gaming tables and scenery pieces for your armies to battle over. There are several different ways to fulfil your destiny as a General - Fantasy battles between savage Orcs, cunning Skaven, honourable Empire and many more. Or if you prefer, you can lead armies of mighty Space Marines, genetically enhanced super-human soldiers of the Imperium of Man, the near-indestructable robot Necrons, or the technologically advanced aliens of the Tau Empire.
Warlord Games supply several different ranges of tabletop wargaming miniatures and scenery, from Hail Caesar, with soldiers from 3000bc, through the ages. Pike and Shotte 1500-1700, Black Powder 1700 - 1900, right up to Bolt Action, in which you can reenact famous battles from World War 2, which features many famous regiments and vehicles from the era. These are just an example of the many game systems Warlord Games supply.
We are also in the process of finding suppliers for scifi and fantasy collectables.
The Dream
Its been a dream of ours to be able to open a shop selling the products we love to people who love them just as much as we do. We would be forever thankful to anyone who is gracious enough to help us reach our goal and enable us to open our shop.
Risks and challenges
Of course, being a new company finding a stable customer base will initially be a challenge. But utilising successful advertising, competitive pricing and a friendly atmosphere, we would overcome any issues that came our way.
