To me that's implying that it was Mastered in the first place! I still have one area I cannot walk through for fear of freezing & one quest that I cannot complete for the same reason.

Don't get me wrong though, love the game, but I think I'll only grab the "Remastered" version if it runs without the bugs.

Erm, it's only misleading if it wasn't referring to the graphics, but I would prefer a bugless and freezeless Skyrim over a prettier one any day of the week.

Well outside the music industry I'm pretty sure remastered is just a generic buzzword anyways, and technically they're calling it the Special Edition. /pedant
I used to edit my sig so it continued whatever I was talking about.

I like that they remaster old gen games so we can enjoy them again, I love stuff like the FFX and Resident Evil remasters (can't wait for RE2), but with Skyrim it feels a bit redundant since it was so recent. I mean, I get it's the most popular TES game but even bringing back Oblivion would've been a cooler move imo.
But with mod support you can probably get the unofficial patches, but it would be nice if they fixed some bugs themselves. And I don't think they're total asses so I expect they worked out some bugs in the process of porting the game(which likely would have brought along some other bugs anyway)

I would have taken an updated Oblivion over Skyrim for sure!

I would LOVE a remastered Morrowind.

I see nothing wrong with a remastered edition, but it shouldn't be more than $30. If they improve the grahics and the load times, making a more stable build of the game then I can see it being worth it. The mods alone make me intrigued.
Life isn't about having all the right answers, just the right answers for you.

It IS misleading. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Special Edition is not a "remaster".

You need more than just a graphical update (courtesy of being ported to newer consoles) and Mod-compatibility to be a "remaster".

I don't believe for a second they'll fix even a single bug.

Hopefully, mods will include the unofficial patches that do fix most errors.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if they somehow manage to create even more.
