What About Ivan Perisic? (self.reddevils)

I know many of you watched the Spain-Croatia game earlier today. Ivan Perisic was absolutely amazing and probably would have been the Man of the Man for Croatia even before scoring the game-winner. My question is: is he always that good? Those of you that know more about him can you give a little insight into how good he actually is?

I really think, based on what I saw today, that he would be a great addition as a winger for us. He's not particularly young (27 years old) but he's not old. He would most likely be a good player for 3-4 more years. Do you all think he's worth a transfer?

He's not a bad player, but he's not usually as good as his display today.

Perisic is for the most part a good player, maybe a slight upgrade over what we have, but not some immense gap in talent over say, Lingard.

He could do a good job, slotting right into the starting lineup, swinging crosses in but he's not really a fantastic player.

His most promising feature is his lack of mistakes, he's consistent, he's consistently a little better than average. He's not like Mkhitaryan who is a form player, so from that perspective it could be safer to get him, but he's not going to be the one to take us to the next level.

It depends on what Mourinho wants, if he wants consistency, go for this guy. If he wants someone who on his day is a world beater, and when he's not on his day is shambolic, then go for Mkhitaryan.

Have you ever watched him play for Wolfsburg? He's an average player who turns up for his national team. Dont use euros as a measure of how good certain players are.

yea you're right. I watched him play a lot season before this one when he and kdb were on the same team. difference between him at world cup and club performances was night and day.
