Basically, we've heard what consumers (including us!) have been saying for years, and we've designed the xFaire's hardware and software to be miles ahead of anything else on the market. So what is xFaire?
xFaire is the next generation of TV service. It's an Internet-based service that comes in two parts: the front-end streaming system for watching live TV, and the back-end Cloud-based service for on-demand TV. Both parts are designed to be smart, customizable, and super easy to use, because that's what TV should be.

Take control with the Smart Remote
We've found a solution for the outdated remotes still attached to all other devices — now, with xFaire's Smart Remote, we've implemented an adaptive touchscreen remote that is designed to be clean, responsive, and easy to use.
We went back to the drawing board and redesigned the remote from the ground up, based on studies of human behavior, so it's as intuitive as possible. And because it uses a touchscreen, the menus can adapt to what you actually want to do. No more having to press 20 buttons to actually start a show!
Oh, the same Smart Remote has a digital keyboard when you need it. Innovative, right?
Virtual Sofa
You don’t have to binge watch TV alone.
Invite your friends and family to join your TV marathons, even if they are across the world. xFaire’s Virtual Sofa brings friends and family closer together because that’s what TVs should do.
Cut the cost of cable
xFaire doesn't need cables laid or infrastructures maintained to work, and definitely no “white van” wandering around your neighborhood. All you need is your existing Internet connection, and you're good to go! The best part is, since we don't have to subsidize construction and maintenance work, we're passing those savings directly along to you.
The final pricing models will be announced shortly after the campaign is fully funded! We do have some information about the different options available, though:
FREE service — just like using an antenna to get your free local TV stations
“A la carte” option — pick and choose which premium channels you want
Special Interest options — for example, when you want “all sports” or “all movie”
Bundle options — cheaper than traditional bundles
Best of all, there are NO LONG-TERM CONTRACTS. Pay for the service you want when you want it, and stop when you don't. It's as simple as that!

About the Team
We're a team of 16 enthusiastic professionals from industrial & mechanical design, UI/UX, programming, hardware, to video compression and streaming. Together, we've been working hard to bring this vision of "true" Internet & Cloud-based Live TV Streaming Service — xFaire.
Between the founders and the founding team have accrued more than 100 years combined working at various companies including startup.
George Tang: "Our vision is more than just a product/service. We want to enhance people’s lifestyle, by bringing the best entertainment service, curate and organize favorite content according to their preference, and then watch them enjoying it and used in innovative ways we never imagined."
Frank Zhou: "Building a platform, an operating system, and making breakthrough on simultaneous multicast via Internet video streaming took time and a lot of hard work. But building a great service takes more than that. We cannot wait for feedback from the community who will use it everyday."
William Ku: "Other companies transformed advertising, online video and music industries. Although, we're not the first to do video streaming, but xFaire will be first to revolutionize the whole entertainment industry."

Our team have been working hard to create the best product/service possible and we are determined to make xFaire a reality and not virtual reality. We have finalized the prototype, and now we need your help to get xFaire into mass production.

Risks and challenges
Since, day one we've been working very closely with most TV Networks, Content Producers and Movies Studios, to learn and understand what they expect from a new partner like us, part of their interest and requirements are DRM-enabled solution (hardware or software) to protect the copyright of their contents, another would be end-customers (viewers/audience). We're ready to deploy and launch the service, however, we need to show the market needs a service like xFaire. That you are willing to back us, back xFaire.
In order for us to align with their requirements, we've been carefully working with our manufacturing partners to select and secure all the parts needed for production of the xFaire. Everything we've shown you has been actual working prototypes of the device. We're currently planning our production and certification timelines, and are on track to meet the estimated delivery timelines.
Forecasting Risk
We have past experience manufacturing hardware devices, but there is always a risk with any project that the real timing won't match the forecasted timelines. Nevertheless, should we miss a projected milestone, we will let you know why and will fix it as soon as possible.
Supply Chain Risk
We've built a very dedicated team with professional experience designing and producing hardware devices; however, it is still possible that component delays and unexpected shortages can occur. If this happens, we'll be sure to keep you informed and work quickly to solve the problem.
Logistics Risk
We've partnered with highly experienced logistics experts to help mitigate any issues that may arise during shipping. Their knowledge will help us navigate whatever difficulties come up, so we can get xFaire safely into your hands.
