Trump is controlling the news cycle once again. He needed a new story in the press cycle so he "fired" his campaign manager who then went immediately on CNN to talk about his firing.

You honestly think they don't have NDA's and contracts where they can't talk about this stuff publicly? Come on.....Is that what people do when they get fired? Go and do 5 live TV interviews about being fired? And then only saying positive things about their old boss?

If Trump really wanted to get rid of the guy, he could have easily done it quietly so it didn't make the press at all. Few people would have noticed it Corey wasn't around anymore, and he could have just said that "Oh yeah, we've transitioned to a general election team" and noone would bat an eyelid.

This guy is probably still on Trump's payroll or the plan was always for him to stop at this point and Manafort to take over. This act gives Trump the chance to "shed" the negativity of the past month on his campaign, and "Start afresh" in the eyes of several voters. It also lets the Clinton campaign and liberal media think that the Trump campaign is "off the rails" and in a position of weakness.....so that the blow is so much worse when it hits.

Trump's playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers....
