Suaoki offered me a sample of this item for my feedback. After the sample shipped, I began reading up on it and discovered the possible issues with the cables. When the unit arrived, it was unfortunate to learn that my unit had the same issues. The jumper cables have the red and green flashing lights and never appear that they are ready to go, so my unit also has the faulty cables.
I went ahead and tested the other charging ports and was lucky to find a laptop connector that fit my computer perfectly. Unfortunately, that did not work either! What a bummer! The USB ports did work at charging my phone, but with that being the only function that works, you would be better off finding a more compact power bank. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this unit.
Update:
The manufacturer was very helpful in working with me to get me understand how it works. Since I was testing this on a good battery, the cables would not initialize. If your car battery's voltage is higher than the unit, it won't work (as it would not be expected to). So how was I to test this? The manufacturer suggested I run my battery down slightly (but not dead) by running my AC (car off). I did that and tried the unit again.
I plugged the cables in, got the red/green flashing lights, attached the black, then the red and I got a solid green light and a confirmation beep! I also noticed my fan speed up from the increased power from the unit. I'm sorry for having doubted, but I did not want to post a review without testing it properly.
I still could not get it to charge my laptop, but all I would use it for is a jump starter and a lower bank for phones and tablets. Minus 1 star for the computer charger, but 4 stars for this unit! Thanks to the manufacturer for being so helpful!
