I was excited as the next guy when Raiola announced Miki wanted to join us, but after hearing numerous Dortmund/Bundesliga fan takes, I am weary.

Of course every transfer is risky, and I do think that Miki would succeed in our team at RW, but he is said to be a confidence player who can be plagued by inconsistencies and struggles in big games; Dortmund fans referenced how he opted not to take a penalty in the cup final shoot out.

Having watched most of LC's games last season, I can tell you Mahrez is absolute class. He is younger than Miki and obviously Prem Proven. I get that we don't have CL and LC does, but if we are going to drop 30 million pounds on a player in the last year of his contract, surely we should try and lure Riyad with a boatload of money. I think we at least stand a chance at securing the move.

He was PL player of the year during a time where every top team was garbage. If you've ever watched him play you'd also know he's extremely wasteful with the ball.

Mkhi is technically superior, more versatile, and plays a much better game when on form. I dont care about age bc we already have enough young players in the squad and it's not like Mkhi is super old either.

The thing about being PL proven is a faulty argument as well. A lot of players thrive on confidence, you're making it sound like a disease. Given his form last season he'll carry that through. His workrate, pace, technical ability all make him the perfect winger or no 10 for Jose's system.

Its not really a surprise we're being linked more with him than Mahrez. So blatantly obvious who the better player is and the fact that people on this sub can actually believe Mahrez is better is laughable.
