This isn't strange at all. From what I understand we haven't had ANY comments from SAF in relation to any topic since Jose was appointed. This simply suggests that he's not spoken to any media in any capacity since the appointment.

Also, we appointed LVG on the 19th May 2014. SAF didn't make any public comment about the appointment until 8th October 2014.

Lets not read too much into this. No doubt the media will focus on this at some point during this summer, that Fergie hasn't spoken on the matter and thus hasn't 'approved' the appointment but it's just hot air.

He's been following Andy Murray around since may. That's probably why he hasn't spoke to the press.

Like I said, his approval means shit though as he is a non voting executive.

Haven't seen or heard anything. All I can find is a lot of tabloids reporting in April that Fergie gave his approval for the signing of Mou.

I dismissed all that. Typical tabloids.

SAF is a non voting member. They wouldn't need to ask his approval.

Ah. Thanks for the response. I saw a video after he signed where they were showing him around and even the other board member who was opposed to him getting the job... the older fellow even greeted him. It seemed strange not to see anything from Sir Alex

The "older fellow" Sir Bobby more than likely still doesn't want Mourinho there but has to be friendly, especially with the cameras on him

And he got his stand. Cant be a prick when most people know why that was hastily arranged.

He was at the Madrid masters, the Rome masters, and the French open when mou signed. That's probably some of the reason why.

the older fellow even greeted him.
