The DAO asked a question. Is it possible to have a decentralized autonomous organization, which allows smart contracts without human intervention?
The answer to both of these questions has now been shown to be: No.
You need human beings to run things. Without them, there is no way to fix things when things inevitably go wrong. You need human beings to adjudicate, so that if there's a contract dispute, someone can make a reasonable decision about the just way to handle it.
It took only a month for the DAO to prove this. The question has been answered, now we know! Complete success. Somehow, though, I get the feeling Bitcoiners haven't gotten the message.
