I only get mildly excited if England scored, if he does it though I'm going to go wild

[–]Old_man_Trafford 0ポイント1ポイント  (1子コメント)

It had to be Sturridge

Like any Englishman gives a fuck right now anyway.

[–]VazinhoDe Gea 14

Well played Hunter

I thought he played well. Nice touches and passes.

It was frustrating to see Alli and others not pass to him. He was actually beating players with his speed and agility.

I'd like to see him get a start against Slovakia, even just out wide. He offers options which no other player in the squad can. People will keep claiming he doesn't deserve it but he's ready.

Actually he might be more effective for the team if he's used as a super sub just like today. He provides purpose and fearlessness but it's ultra useful when the defense is a little tired.

Commas are important.

Dier and Alli have been utter shit really

Dier has been good in breaking up play and his short passing but his long passes were dreadful.

Might as well have brought Carrick to help create something from deep, it's not like they're having problems with fast runners through the midfield.

I think it was wise to bring Dier he's young and we do need to build for the future. Plus he wasn't all that bad like I said he very important for this England team.

He has little to do defensively, and his forward passes were all terrible. http://imgur.com/RZHHSBd

"Building for the future" is just empty words.

Do you think how we dominated the midfield was by accident? Him and Rooney bossed it today. Bale was practically nonexistent all game. Wales wanted to play a counter attacking football and we nullified them all game pretty much.

"Building for the future" is just empty words

Right, experience is nothing for a player.

That's all well and good if you're playing a team that actually attacks you, but England had essentially 3 centre backs to cut out simple passes. His position required a passer to open up the field and spread Wales, fucking Carrick would have been perfect there, Wilshere even. It was all left to Rooney to play unlocking passes because the team was too slow moving the ball to open them up.

Alli was useless, must have passed it into the player in front of him a dozen times. Walker was atrocious, but that's normal Walker and he somehow gets praised for it. Woeful crossing, poor decision making, runs into a defender then stops and stands on the ball numerous times a game. Kane did nothing got dragged, Rose wasn't great either. What I'm getting at, you fill your team with a bunch of inexperienced players that have never won anything and expect them to carry your national side, unsurprising result. They all look to someone else to do something, laughable that people were suggesting he not play Rooney. Hodgson's England just look devoid of a plan again, move the ball without purpose, the forwards make asinine runs out of sync with the midfield. If they're going to play like that you have to start someone like Rashford who can take players on independent of those around him, because until he started stretching Wales it didn't matter what way England went forward it was toothless.

I mean I guess that's your opinion I disagree with almost everything you've said but fair enough I guess.

More so Dier, his long balls have been atrocious.

Not sure about Dier.... I think Hodgson should show some guts like Deschamps do. It ain't easy to bench players like Griezmann and Pogba....
If you don't perform you don't deserve the place.

Dier has allowed Rooney to play with freedom. He is one of the last people I would be taking out of the side.

Bit bitter sweet for us Welsh fans. Please don't score against us lad...

Now I bet you wish it had been Rashford to score

Touché my friend. Still... it hurts.

I think he did pretty well, some great touches (and feints) to keep the ball moving

Didn't even score. Clearly overrated.

Absolutely insane how much his life has changed in the past few months. So happy for the lad.

been supporting Wales but I'm going to go mental if he scores

He's already playing better than the rest of the squad the 10 minutes hes been on. Should ve started over Kane

No he hasn't.

Youngest ever for England in the Euros. 4 days younger than Rooney was in his first Euros.

That just highlights the prodigy that was Wayne Rooney. Absolutely bossed that tournament at such a young age.

its all because of Rashford

He needs to be starting, god damn!

I hope this game changes Roy's mind. Sturridge, Sterling, Rashford and Rooney need to be England's attacking force.

[–]Shaggydog__One Darren Fletcher. 10

Rashford, Vardy, Sturridge with Wazza, Dier, Wilshere behind.

[–]Taurus_O_RolusMata Mamasita Herrera. 2

Zero overlaps. That's what you do when you're chasing a goal. Overlap!!!!

How'd he play?

Really well, played some nice passes and 1-2s

based on how shit Sterling was today, and how well Rashford played, what do you guys think are the chances he starts next game?

He'll still be a sub, I reckon. Just cos of how Woy is.

Cant watch how arrogant he is

from watching him so far this game, there seems to be a distinct sense of him being lost at times. Dont get me wrong, i love the guy but his off the ball movement seems to be interesting. I chalk some up to nerves and inexperience at this level but im glad hes getting the time to prove himself and improve

I disagree, his movement off the ball is pretty good. He often pulls defenders out of positions or creates space for him self. It can look strange when he doesn't get the pass, but overall he had a great game.

Edit: For the record I don't think you deserve to be downvoted for your observations.

I think it's a bit of both of what you two said. He created space by pulling the defenders away, and his control of the ball was fantastic. But there were a couple of times where his movement was slightly off and wrong, down to nerves I'm sure. Great to see him get some minutes and experience though!

[–]the_dworkSchweinsteiger 0ポイント1ポイント  (0子コメント)

And maybe it also has something to do with the lad being an inexperienced 18-year-old kid. Who cares if his movement off the ball is a bit off at times, he'll come good.

I think his movement when there was a bit of space around was great, but when things got a little congested with Rose up the pitch he got a little confused on how to play as a winger with a wing back trying to work past him.

You're probably right. /u/Burntoutone 's assessment just came a cross a bit harsh when there where multiple off the ball movements that were very good. Absolutely great for him to get the minutes, experience and most of all prove it's not wrong to sub him on!

Edit: another point is that the area was almost getting congested with England players at the end, would be a bit hard to see the best movements at times.

Rashford has to start for England over Sterling, done more than him in 15 minutes.

More like Vardy or Sturridge over Sterling.
