I'm new here, and wary (self.MGTOW)

Just skimming some of these self posts, it becomes quickly apparent that those posting seem to be coaxing themselves out of a youthful, unavoidable, biologically hardwired need for female love. This is not a bad thing, though it can make you feel bad. Gods know I've had more than my share of it.

So what I am putting up for discussion is this notion: I am a man who is beginning his own way, and part of that is wanting a female copilot. Open to marriage, but not making it a goal. However, it is simply a value of mine to work at a strong, one-on-one relationship, because no matter how good you think you are, having help from someone just as good can be, dare I say, romantic. Romanticism is more than just 'falling head-over-heels' for that girl you think is 'just perfect in every way.' Romanticism is more about having the fortitude to rend a dream out of the ether and pour your will into to it to make it reality.

Is a man who includes practiced and strong companionship with a woman in going his own way welcome here?

You know, I used to be as open minded as you are regarding relationships with women and the possibility of marriage. One thing you'll notice here is that experience with the women of today is what made all of us realize on our own accounts how flimsy female love for men is. You will learn in time that the undying love you feel for women--enough so that you would gladly lay down your life for them, protect them, and provide for them--is not a mutual feeling from her end. Her feelings towards you will change with her mood swings. Like a light switch.

Continue experimenting with women. Try to have fun. Try to be optimistic. You will grow wise with experience. Hopefully you won't be cornered into alimony payments you can't afford or false rape or domestic violence charges and sitting in prison. Hopefully, you will have time to put your experience to use and regain control of your own destinations in life.

P.S. You haven't really gone your own way if you have a copilot steering half the time.

everyone wants a unicorn, not everyone gets to have one. you know how the culture is degenerating, you know how women aren't held responsible for their actions and have every incentive not to be a good person. good men outnumber good women 10-1 if not more. i'm like you i have similar beliefs, i just understand the reality that there are guys who are 6 foot tall and millionaires, who have literally everything going for them that i don't, and even they get fucked over by a woman. we're talking about top 1% alpha males who can't have a quality relationship. i'm always open to finding my unicorn, but i'm not gonna bank all my chips on it every time i find a girl who seems nice. regardless you're a brother in the cause, i don't think anyone here's gonna hate on you unless you start shaming them for not manning up or some other bullshit.
